The guy in the black dress clothes greeting people who wanting to come in to Key Party came off as aggressive. We walked in the accounting room, then into the bar atmosphere and were stopped immediately and told “ let’s chat in the outside”, Not knowing who he was or if he even worked at Key Party, we backed out into the hallway confused on who he was and intimidated. We were then told it would be a minimum hour wait and that was at 8pm and advised to go to Slims BBQ while we wait. We went to Slims BBQ for 2.5 hours and just got into Key Party at 10:30pm. Slims BBQ and Key Party are owned by the same owner, and the food is confirmed frozen by the server that served us. The male dressed up in the dress clothes even forget the name for the table after we asked him twice how much longer it would would be. We have read reviews on him before and it was bad. This guy is bringing down your company and he should be let go immediately. He is not friendly to your customers and does not let them know about the updates to the wait time. He sits on his phone in the lobby. When I asked him for the update on our time wait, I was told “ I have to wait for people to leave before I can get people...
Read moreI came here yesterday (Friday, Jan 14) and had to write a review after being completely shocked by the employee at the front. Writing this review and reading others I realized I have had the same problem as others. The man at the front did not greet us Hi at all when walking in, he just stared at us and asked us what we want. He was not helpful at all. When we told him we would like a table (for 3) he responded with the wait is long and didn't proceed to give us time estimates or anything. He came off quite rude and seemed like he did not want us there. When we asked for the wait time he said roughly 1 hour long and we asked to be put down on the waiting list which he did. Following he gave us no context to how he would reach us or if he needed our number to text us when the table was ready and he rudely responded with "wait outside and if you're there when I need you, you can have the table" and "or go next door and I can find you". We went to the place next door and the man never came to grab us. Overall he seemed like he did not care to help or...
Read moreIve walked by the speakeasy 1,000,000 times, but had never gone in until this week.
My friend and I finally got the chance to go this week and were quite pleasantly surprised.
They had all of their vegan options labeled, which I was super excited about.
I tried one cocktail that was a bit simple/fruity for my liking however, I could see someone else enjoying it. I just felt that could be a bit more creativity to it. On that note though, I did only have one drink, so will be back to try another before giving a better review. Very fun cocktail names though :)
The bar was cool and aesthetic. It was an LGBTQ friendly space.
I also believe it is wheelchair accessible, as i saw someone paying in a chair- but you might need to go through the neighbouring restaurant to access.
Overall, we enjoyed it. I think to give it 5 stars there would just need to be some improvements to the finishing touches. I think it was cute, but I really admire the small touches often seen in NY bars, and it felt like it was missing something.
Would still go again...
