UPDATED JAN 16/20: Changing my rating to 5 Stars.

We order the burritos and chips & salsa. First thing we immediately noticed is how large the burritos are. When I picked up I was like, "wow...this is heavy" and it was. Definitely filling. I had a pibil chicken and my guess had a pork one. She's a huge burrito fan and said she found her new spot even though she thought it was a bit salty. I think that might just be a pork thing. She also mentioned that she loved the flour wrap and I must agree.

They also have these 3 sauces. The mango one is XXX spicy and totally amazing ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

I'd say this place is pretty authentic from the food to the people. A lot of Spanish could be heard. It's quite small however and not at all cozy would be my only complaint. The door needs to be fixed so that it shuts closed especially this time of year (Jan 2020). It would let the cold air in. One the employees would shut then someone came in and then my guest closed it then someone else would come in so it was pretty chilly in there.

The food however was great & the employee was very friendly. It seemed like he took the time to really know his customers. Many people seemed like regulars for the half hour that we were there.

The six tacos we order came to just over $20. We both could have ate more though however we were just too tired.

The guacamole was excellent & the mango hot sauce was something I've never had before. That too was great.

Will definitely check it out again to try other options...

As a native Mexican, I have high expectations when it comes to Mexican cuisine. Time and time again, I get disappointed with Mexican restaurants. The food was just okay. The rice is too soft, and the tortillas get warmed up in a microwave. I don't like to use microwaves to heat my food because it's not good for me. Yet, EVERY single Mexican restaurant that I have been to does the same thing! I don't even have one in my kitchen. The best way to heat up corn tortillas is on a non-stick pan. A comal would be best, but then, we are in Canada. The guacamole tasted awful! The chicken mole was okay, nothing that I would order again. Overall, the food was not great. The service was fine. The gentleman who served me was super polite and answered all of my questions. Apparently, everything is made from scratch, including the beans, mole sauce, salsa, and guacamole. The corn tortillas are purchased elsewhere. So I was told and I was told also that the tortillas indeed get thrown in the microwave. That's a BIG NO for me. That's a deal breaker. I won't be coming back to this place to eat. But who knows! You might like it! Paid parking only, free parking about two to three blocks in residential areas. washrooms are clean. Music is not too loud, which is...

So I am confused by the rating for this restaurant. As of my review it has 4.5 stars. I can't begin to describe how inaccurate this is. This tiny place is boxing out of its weight class. As soon as I walked through the door I knew I was in the right place. The small cozy seating area made me feel content immediately. Then there was the smiling helpful gentleman that served me. Couldn't have been better. Then of course there was the Mexican Coca-Cola which is definitively better than Canadian Coke. Sorry Canada. The food took what seemed like forever. In reality is was at most 3 minutes but the wonderful smells while I waited was torture. To the food. I have not had a sandwich this flavourful in memorable history. It is entirely too large not to share but I managed the whole thing. Worth every bite. My only complaint is that there was so much stuffed into this sandwich that some refused to stay in it. Eat here. Do...

Tortas is a must visit when on upper main st. The food selection is extensive but not daunting, I loved the score of meat options you can order with tortas, burritos, tacos, etc.. We had the taquitos to start and it came on a whole bed of lettuce and sour cream. Absolutely loved it. Ordered myself the pork cutlet/pulled pork/bacon torta and it was mouth watering good. Order an el pastor burrito to take home and I couldnt help but eat some of it while I was still there. The atmosphere is quaint and the decor was simple yet authentic. Loved the vibe will definitely go again.
