To the Owner,
I hope you read this because what happened was absolutely unacceptable. I have been a loyal customer, ordering from your restaurant regularly and even recommending it to friends, family, and colleagues. But after what I just experienced, I won’t be coming back, and I need you to know why.
While I was sick with the flu, I placed an Uber Eats order, spending $30 on a meal that I couldn’t even eat. I made it very clear in my order that I cannot have meat due to allergies and cultural reasons, but guess what? I found raw, pink meat in my food. Are you serious? Thirty dollars down the drain because your staff couldn’t follow simple instructions. I had to throw the entire meal away because I didn’t trust anything else on the plate. What a waste of money, especially when I was already feeling unwell!
This isn’t the first time, either. You’ve messed up orders before, and while Uber Eats fixed it last time, this time is different. I’m done. People don’t say “no meat” for fun — this is my health on the line. The level of negligence is beyond frustrating. How hard is it to follow basic food restrictions?
On top of that, your staff has been rude on multiple occasions. I specifically want to call out Meh (the guy with glasses who works there often), Tina, and Kim. The customer service has been shockingly disrespectful. Once, I even noticed a rude comment written on my receipt just because I misspelled “celery.” How petty can you get? Imagine if I wasn’t fluent in English — how insulting would that feel? Your staff needs a serious attitude check if you plan on staying in business.
I’ve had enough of the careless mistakes, the rudeness, and the total lack of respect. I won’t be wasting my time or money here anymore. If you can’t run a business with basic decency and professionalism, don’t be surprised when customers walk away.
After this experience, I can no longer recommend your restaurant and will not be returning. It’s a shame that a business I once trusted has let me down so severely.
Please reflect on how your staff’s behavior and mistakes affect your customers, especially those with specific dietary...
Read moreI went with a friend for lunch and the hostess (older and usually anxiously running around) was amazingly RUDE. When we asked if we could pick another table that appeared available, she agreed but sighed in an annoyed way (strike #1). Once we sat, she asked me if I wanted tea or water to drink and told her I wanted tea, she quickly turned around and completely ignored my friend, no eye contact, nothing, just left (strike #2 - it turned out my friend wanted water ). When she came back with 2 cups of tea, I politely asked her if she could bring a glass of water for my friend and she sighed again and rolled her eyes at me this time (strike #3). I gave her the benefit of the doubt the first time, could be that she was having a bad day, or who knows, but three times, COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE, don't take it out on the clients, we all have problems, learn how to deal with yours. If requesting a different table was the whole issue, simply say it, there are ways to express disagreement, you DO NOT sigh, you DO NOT roll your eyes at clients!
Pho 99 completely lost my business and certainly will not be considered for ordering food for when our whole office hosts events or meetings.
The attitude of the hostess does not surprise me, as the manager/owner (older gentleman) has a grumpy and rude demeanor, I do not recommend anyone coming to this place whatsoever, but if you do, you will...

House special was delicious. I can really taste the star anise which is fantastic. My taste buds absolutely adore it. I love that they have all the sauces on the side at every table: chili oil, a bit bottle of hoisin sauce, and sriracha sauce. There were small saucers too which came in handy for dipping my meats in sriracha/hoisin sauce :)
Fried chicken was BOMB. It was a combo of mini drumsticks and wings drizzled w a sweet-ish sauce and sprinkled w sesame seeds. Every bite was crispy on the outside and juicy tender on the inside. I’m salivating thinking of it. My sis had me try it with some nuoc cham (servers were so sweet to grab us some upon request) and it adds a nice twist to the taste.
BONUS: this place is also accessible so don’t be shy, they’ve got a handicap button and lots of leg room! A lady was even sweet enough to open the door for a gentleman on his way out with his hands tied up carrying his order and his child. it was so sweet to see.
Lovely, clean, brightly lit, beautifully decorated place :) I hope to come back again soon and share a warm meal with...
