We went there last Saturday for our booster shot. We were given a choice. Pfizer or Moderno. That was nice. Most of the people working there were very professional and friendly. Everyone was well behaved. They did really well with the kids. After the shot you’re supposed to stick around for 15 minutes and you know how difficult that can be with kids so they had them do art and write their comments on post it notes and they had boards that you would stick them on. It was very artistically done. We were asked not to take pictures so I respected that. On another note. We did a very little bit of exploring and I was totally blown away by the amazing talented people we have here that were displaying some of their works of art in exhibit area. Then there were the wagons from Sicily and the great looking food. I’ll definitely be back to pick up some of that lasagna for me and Garfield ! There was a lot more to see and explore. Like a good Italian wine you don’t gulp it down. Just sip it slowly and enjoy.

A fabulous look at Italian culture both past and present. The venue helps connect Italian families in Vancouver together and keeps their heritage alive. The curator of the museum is incredibly knowledgeable. They have a trattoria on site that caters for specific events. As I mentioned in another review they have an outdoor brick pizza oven available for rent. During summer it is home to the Italian night market which features excellent music and delicious food. They are on a major bus route and are close to the sky train. There is parking available.

The World Cup trophy was displayed at the Italian Cultural Centre, but the event turned into a chaotic and massive lost-child scene. The host had not planned any crowd control in advance. Although people tried to follow instructions, the host ended up penalizing those who complied. As a result, the people who lined up first lost their chance to take a photo of the trophy.

Third dose @ Vaccination Site

There were too many employees standing outside. The whole time we lined up, which was 40 minutes because seniors & kids gets priority, 2 employees were just standing beside each other chatting. Why are they there?

The line up inside the centre (that used to be where the seats are) were unnecessarily crowded. We could have stood outside the whole time. What's the difference between standing outside for 40 minutes or 55 minutes? How exactly is the line up any different from a 20 people party with mask on except we're all from different families and everyone is crowed with about a 0.3m distance with 4 people (1 behind, 1 in front, 2 beside you). What's the point of the very socially distanced seats in the gym when we've been exposed to one another 15 minutes ago in the indoor queue?

In addition to Seniors and Juniors getting priority (which is fine, though I do question the utility reason for kids getting priority), I witnessed an employee there waved in some 25 year old girl over to beat the line. Didn't know we could do that, or else I would have buddy-buddy up with an employee there and get that same priority access.

Other than that list of reasons, the people administering the vaccine shots and registering you have been...

Went here for my kids vaccination as they had turned the large hall into a high throughput medical clinic of sorts. They had a lot of volunteers and it was well organized and highly efficient. well done! i had been to this center before for one of their evening dinner and dances and at that the time, the hall was completely different having been opened up and packed with tables and the food service was amazing as they make the food right there for you; all highly authentic and hot, fresh and delicious. in fact, there is an italian restaurant on site and a cafe, and bakery all obviously specializing in italian fare. i did not have a chance to eat at these locations, but i did buy a large lasagna from the center to bake at home and it was friggin amazing; the amount of pasta layers and fresh sauce was delicious. it was in an 8in foil pan, but it probably weighed at least 15 pounds. so good. i think that it is amazing to have such a wonderful community center highlighting all the cultural amazingness which is italy, in such a concentrated spot. will come for a meal...
