Very friendly service and the food is above average! Came here with my little dog and was just gonna get take out but the waitress had no problem with the 2 of us eating on the patio! Hallelujah finally a restaurant that doesn't make a big deal about eating outside with a dog. I was very impressed by that not that it's a big deal but so many places have such a stupid issue with it!

He is not a big fan of raw fish (being a dog) but he absolutely loved the chicken karagi I was even allowed to have one piece and it was very good I would definitely come back here it's a nice little mom and pop restaurant with reasonable prices and delicious food and a laid-back attitude I definitely have to give them Kudos I was very impressed

Also I have to say finally a Japanese restaurant that has a proper flavorful tasty miso soup every other Japanese restaurant the Miso soup is so watered down and flavorless here the Miso soup was actually very delicious one of the best miso soup...

Be careful of black avocado in sushi rolls (it has been an ongoing issue for the past year). Since last year, we have ordered takeout from this place a few times. Among those times, there has been incidences that the avocado was blackened in some of the sushi rolls. We mentioned it to the waitress one time and she said it wasn't rotten. We decided to give them another chance so later times when we order, we would specify that the avocado should be fresh. They did okay afterwards, but today I ordered again. When I went to pick it up, I saw a blackened avocado in one of the pieces. I nicely mentioned it to the waitress, and she said that they were too busy to care about it even though they knew that it was there. Then the boss came over and simply stated that, "If you are not happy, then you can order from other places". The purpose of writing this review is to emphasize the importance of food safety. Servers were chatting the whole time and did not stop by to ask how the food was. The salmon sashimi was terrible, I had one piece and decided to send it back. The staff defensively asked what they should do with the dish and didn’t provide a solution/address the situation. When I received the bill I was charged for the sashimi. I asked to speak with the manager and the server came back saying they could give me a 10% discount (on a $50 bill). I asked to speak to the manager again.
