My husband and I went visited this resto about three weeks ago and was greatly disappointed. It used to be our go-to as a neighbourhood eatery for our favourite noodle soup, laksa. However, the resto now has a new chef, and everything has changed. Now only was the portion much smaller, but the "content" was much inferior - measely amount of meat, noodle, veggies, and tofu. The soup base was also strangely sweet and had lost the authentic flavours (I have had a lot of laksas so I have a sense). Everything was off. We didn't order other items that day, but it is conceivable that if that's what the new chef did with the laksa, other dishes probably wouldn't be much different (sad miserly portions and poor ingredients). The main resto was full and we were seated next door in the casual cafe of Pink Elephant, which we were okay with. That said, we were seated next to the glass cooler display case and it had a huge hum the whole time, and that made the entire experience even less pleasant. The florescent lighting made the space feel sterile. The only positive was the waitress, who was friendly and helpful. We will not visit this resto for a good while. We hope that the establishment will make an effort to make the necessary improvements and bring it back to...

They have a modern Thai décor interior and wine bar. They have impressive dishes and drinks. I live their Thai milk tea😋 We had : ✨Matsaman Curry Rack of Lamb - Pan seared rack of lamb simmered in Matsaman curry, coconut milk, potatoes, grape tomatoes and onions!

We had a fantastic meal at Urban Thai Bistro on Dunbar! The food was incredibly flavourful, beautifully presented, and the service was warm and attentive throughout our visit.

We ordered the Red Curry Roasted Duck, which was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice. The Beef Brisket Noodle Soup was comforting and aromatic—perfect for a rainy Vancouver day. We also loved the BBQ Pork Cheek Salad, which was tender, smoky, and bursting with fresh, tangy flavour. The Chilli Basil Chicken Wings were crispy, spicy, and super addictive. And to end on a sweet note, the Mango Sticky Rice was absolute perfection—sweet, creamy, and refreshing.

The Dunbar location is cozy and casual, making it perfect for both dine-in and takeout. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Thai cuisine on the west side...

LAKSA Noodle offers an authentic culinary experience with its rich, coconut-based curry laksa broth, perfectly balanced with a hint of spiciness. The fresh ingredients, including succulent fish cakes and chewy rice noodles, are highlights of this Malaysian delight. The restaurant's warm, family-friendly atmosphere is evident in its diverse clientele of locals and expats, often seen enjoying meals together. The clean, well-maintained floors and charming decor create a welcoming environment, making it a must-visit for both food enthusiasts and those seeking a cozy dining experience. Don't miss out on this hidden gem that celebrates both tradition and warmth in every bowl.

It was very quiet on the weekend night we dined here. Food was mostly good except we were dining with our kids and all the dishes we order we asked for "mild" -- our kids can handle moderate spices but that usually translates to a Thai mild. We ordered the Pad Kra Pau which we've had at other restaurants before but here, the dish had very little basil and mostly consisted of jalapeno and Thai chiles. It was so spicy it was nearly inedible but "that's how it done" here. There was no warning despite requesting our dishes to be "mild". Also had the Tom yum ka soup, green chicken curry and pad Thai which were all delicious and properly spicy.

It has always been difficult to find good Thai food in Vancouver. Their lunch set is pretty good priced & portion is average in size. Service is good and server is attentive. Presentation of food also wonderful. Curry chicken and beef was good. I wish they add more meat to it. Chicken wings was too dry and spicy ( even we ordered less spicy). Pork Jowl is the best with the bbq taste and I like the fresh veggie they served with the dish. We ordered a 3 items and a 4 items total 2 lunch sets . $50 before tips is good price Street parking available along the street, 1-2 hours free parking
