It saddens me to write this review but this establishment that I’ve regularly visited with pride for the past 4 years is going into the dumps. Horrible quality, service & hygiene. Staff is slow, unfriendly & unhygienic. They ignore customers after 4 pm in a rush to close & head home, this includes the managers that are on duty & busy counting the cash instead of serving clients. They really make it seem like clients are an inconvenience & that they are doing us a favour. When I visited today, the staff member packed my goods with the same glove she used to handle a dirty rag & other items. On several occasions this summer, I noted flies on the baked good. Also, in general, the staff looks unkept. I’ve seen them smoking outside & only to come in & start serving clients without washing their hands. And sadly, the goods sold are not as fresh & presentable as they used to be. I hope measures are taken to restore the pride of...
Read moreThis is where the head office is... So I find it strange that this location is one of the worst places to get a croissant at. I'm not sure why I keep buying them but I guess I'm hoping they will get better someday. I do like most of the bread I buy there and even the coffee is pretty good when I have a cup. But lots of the basic bakery stuff is just really not worth the prices they charge. Croissants with an average weight of 67grams for the 6 I bought and the taste and texture was about as good as a fresh Costco one. Danish were dry and over baked. The few cookies I've tried been dry and hard. The cakes on the other hand, those that I've had were mostly very good. The muffins I've tried were good with the banana pecan being my favorite. I've gone to other locations around Montreal that were so much better so why can't this one that is less than ten minutes from my house...
Read moreThis place went downhill. I used to buy all my baked goods from breads to croissants to cakes from there but recently everything is smaller, more expensive and looks and tastes worse than cheap grocery store products. Just an example, their croissants used to be crunchy, buttery and rich and now they are very doughy, completely hollow inside and taste more like stale bread than an actual croissant. Why would I waste my time and money on cheap looking products that keep getting pricier for no apparent reason?!... Wouldn't have minded the price hikes, had they kept the same good quality but the food is subpar and tasteless... And why is it chaotic to actually buy something there? There are many employees behind the counter but you always have to wait ages before someone actually acknowledges your presence. Won't be...
