This is one of my favorite places, and I've been coming here regularly for years. I've always loved the quirkiness, funky food and drinks, and ambiance. However, my past few visits have left me cold. I understand that costs are rising and employees are hard to come by, but Patate et Persil can surely do better! The past few visits, the food has been okay; as mentioned in other reviews, the food sometimes arrives cold or burnt (especially the fries). This matters when you're paying more for your food. You expect the quality to be consistent. The service is split down the middle. Some staff do an incredible job while others stand around talking to friends instead of focusing on customers during busy periods. It's unfair to the hard-working staff as well as to the customers. Our last visit was last Thursday evening. It was busy, and we didn't mind waiting; however, we watched one of the wait staff stand and talk to friends at the table facing us for ONE solid hour. She did nothing else while others ran around her. We kept looking around for other wait staff to flag down because she wasn't paying attention to anybody. What we noticed was a need for more management. There didn't appear to be anybody overseeing the staff, which is unfortunate. Although always quirky, the place also requires a bit of TLC; from empty flower pots to dirty tables, the outdoors needs some sprucing up. It's always sad to see the quality of a place slipping because of a lack of training and/or supervision, but these mishaps have certainly soured our experience there and were not planning on returning any time soon. Hopefully, the management or owners are reading these reviews and are motivated to improve the...
Read moreWe've been longtime fans of Patate et Persil, but after our recent visit, we're reconsidering ever returning. I ordered the "Summer Delight," their most expensive meal on the menu, which turned out to be anything but delightful. The calamari was tiny and overly battered, while the shrimp were burnt to a crisp. This dish, supposedly from the salad section, was far from healthy; it was greasy and unappetizing. To make matters worse, despite waiting over 30 minutes hoping to discuss my dissatisfaction with the waitress, she only approached us at the very end of our meal when we had to pay. By then, I had no choice but to eat my meal since I was hungry and she hadn't come to check up on us. When I finally expressed my disappointment with the quality of the meal especially the burnt shrimp, her response was underwhelming. She offered a free $7 dessert (the value of the shrimp), which we declined since we weren't planning to have dessert, and instead asked for a $7 discount. Shockingly, she refused. It's deeply disappointing that Patate et Persil couldn't offer any meaningful resolution to our experience. Losing a customer over a $7 issue speaks volumes about their customer service. Sadly, we won't be returning after this disappointing evening. In hindsight, I probably would have been better off...
Read moreIt used to be one of our favourite places in Vaudreuil…not anymore. 3 servers chatting, using foul language while chatting with friends sitting at a table & completely ignoring the rest of the tables. Our food came in less than 10 minutes, completely cold. The hamburger patty was cold, uncooked and it didn’t taste like beef. A waitress threw the plates on our table and left without asking if we needed anything. No tableware, no napkins, no ketchup were put on our table. We had to raise our hand several times to get their attention and to ask for the items that should be brought with the goods. Asked for wifi password just to be told “we don’t share it with customers”…really? Are we back in the 90’s. When I returned the plate the waitress told me I had to pay for the hamburger!! Unbelievable! Now I got into a dispute with an 18 year old over a 7$ dollar salad. So he agreed to remove the hamburger but made me pay for my salad …which I didn’t even touch. I refused and left my info so I can speak with the owner. 9th May at 4:30 pm. Please fix the issue with your staff and quality of your food so we can come back to our happy...
