Really sad to write this review because I have had many good meals at boustan. Before I share my experience I must say that in the past the food has been clean, quick, and generous and I have always been happy. I’ll take this as a speed bump and put three stars when my impulse was to put one star. I was very loyal to the restaurant but my experience on Saturday changed my mind.

I first thought it was covid and three rapid tests later confirmed it was not. Me and my friend went to eat separately that day and both got food poisoning. I have been crushed for the last two days, and it made going to work very difficult. I have had two awful shifts which has impacted the company I work for.

I am writing this with a body still aching after randomly bumping into my friend today at the grocery store who shared an identical story to mine. Had a bad painful day at work feeling just sucked of all my energy. Still love the place but don’t like what potential skips in food safety did to me.

I used to eat here often but it had been a couple of months since I’d last gone. On 2024-12-11, I went to go pick up food and I was very disappointed with my experience. I’m not sure if there are new owners but I had never seen either of the two people that were working there before. I was speaking English and the man serving me would only reply in French, he picked up a used,dirty pair of gloves off the counter to make the food, as if the point of gloves is to use some dirty second skin and not change them between each person you serve, the potatoes were so raw they looked white so I went with rice and salad only, he gave me the tiniest portion of salad, and a drop of garlic sauce.

I paid for my food, no tip, and I won’t be returning. Save your money and go to Torino instead, the food is much more fresh and well prepared, and the owner is the one making it so it’s actually done with care. I won’t be returning to Boustan Vaudreuil.
