I’ve tried many Korean Fried Chicken restaurants and this place has hands down the best, crispest and most favourful fried chicken! It also beats all the BBQ Chicken franchises that I’ve tried (I’ve tried about 5 different locations). This is my go to KFC place since their grand opening. They are also very consistent! It’s almost always the same amount of sauce and spice level. I love consistent because I know what I’m getting and am never disappointed.
I don’t know how they do it but even the sauced chickens are crispy. Others are almost always too saucy and the chicken is no longer crispy after sitting in the sauce for about 30 mins to an hour. This location’s fried chicken can sit on my counter for 45 mins and still remain crispy under the sauce. My young children love the honey garlic wings and eat about 4-6 in one sitting which is a lot for them.
My only complaint is that sometimes the non-spicy options come with a slight spice. My children still eat them even if they are spicy because it’s that good. I have never ate in and only ever do take out because of my kids, but I bet having it served hot and fresh is better than takeout.
They also serve really great side dishes. I love that they branched out and added more variety in the last year. Highly recommend the KFC at this location! My favourites are the golden fried, secret sauced and honey garlic. The cheesling chicken is ok, a little sweet for my liking but my little ones love it! We tried almost all the flavours, even the new green onion chicken which was a huge hit at our Christmas Party.
I ordered again yesterday on New Year’s Eve and they were running behind. I waited more than 20 mins after the scheduled pick up time and got a little upset, but the lady at the counter was very apologetic and offered to call me when it was ready with a smile. That’s great service right there! I came back just when she was about to call so I would say their estimation is pretty accurate, I just wished I knew beforehand over the app or by phone/email.

My friend and I popped in for an early dinner and some much-needed catching up, and while the place was quiet at 5:00 PM, it worked perfectly for our laid-back chat. We ordered the Classic Fried Chicken (bone-in), the Secret Sauced Chicken (boneless), and Spicy Dukk-bokki (Toppoki) to share. Let’s just say, this was a legit Korean fried chicken experience. The glaze on the chicken was perfection, sweet, savory, and unapologetically bold. I didn’t realize how much I missed flavors like these! The Spicy Dukk-bokki was a delightful surprise, offering just the right amount of heat balanced by its sweet base, perfect for those wary of fiery dishes. That said, the Secret Sauced Chicken wasn’t without its quirks. Some tiny sinews made it less enjoyable to eat solo, but nothing too tragic. And a small nitpick: dipping the Classic Fried Chicken into the salt and pepper served in a narrow sauce tin was a logistical challenge... Flat plates would’ve made life much easier. The service was spot-on. Attentive without hovering, which I always appreciate. And while I loved the peace and quiet, I couldn’t help but wish for more diners for their sake. This place deserves a bustling crowd! If you’re in Maple and craving something bold, crispy, and authentically Korean, give bb.q a shot. You might just find your new go-to spot for dinner...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the newly opened bb.q chicken, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we entered, the friendly, attentive servers made us feel welcome.
The rose tteokbokki had a decadent velvety texture that melted in our mouths, while the Gangnam flavored fried chicken was subtly sweet and a tad peppery – a perfect blend of flavors.
Our go-to cheesling chicken with powdered mascarpone cheese was a standout as well.
Despite it being a busy Friday night, our food arrived promptly, and the attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed.
A thoughtful touch was the provision of a bucket for chicken bones. The restaurant itself is spacious, offering ample room for patrons, and it's exceptionally kid-friendly, with high chairs readily available.
The combination of delicious food, great atmosphere, and top-notch service makes bb.q chicken a must-visit spot for lovers of Korean fried chicken.
