Located in a shopping complex with great parking surrounded by other dining options such as Tim Hortons, Subway and Akita Sushi.
Food was delicious and well prepared with large portions. However with 2 other diners in the entire restaurant our food took awkwardly long.
Our waitress who happened to be the Manager whose name was Zenia fell short in many areas. Our coffee was served warm not hot to begin. Next, for the second time at this location, a gift card that was given to us with $100 on it was denied. The first time the card was used we were told it was no good. We went back to the original location where it was bought and checked and they said it was fine and the balance was $100. To make sure it was good, we purchased something small we didn't want just to make sure it was working at the original location. With a balance of now $85.44 we left. At this specific location again last night we were told our card was no good. After further inquiring and watching the waitress/manager attempt to use the POS system she said it wasn't good. It appeared she didn't know how to use the POS system. She pretended to call up the customer service center and told us it was closed for the holiday. We paid with a Debit card. I asked her if I didn't have any other form of payment(no cash or card) how would have this situation been handled. She pointed to the ATM and shrugged her shoulders..how would that help if I didn't have NO other form of payment. We left, in my car outside I called the number on the back of the gift card and checked the balance. To my shock, the number worked and said I had a balance. I went back in to the restaurant where the manager was on the phone with the "owner" who was telling her how to use the POS system. It worked and the cards balance appeared. She was very unprofessional, rude, incompetent and lacked basic managerial skills. No apology was given. No comp'd food/ meal. I wasted my time, gas, and energy behind this establishment and will NEVER dine at any Denny's again. They sell you gift cards and claim they don't work and lie when asked to check. She clearly did not know how to use the POS and was caught when the manager instructed her how.
Advice to owners: train management PROPERLY. Do not hire or promote...
Read moreYesterday I went with my husband and our kids to this location ( I want to add it was a celebration as we were celebrating our twins birthday) . We not only waited a while to be asked what we wanted to drink even though there were 4 people in the restaurant I also got served chicken that was pink . I didn’t bite into it I didn’t give the young lady a hard time I just said to her unfortunately my chicken isn’t cooked and asked if I could get a separate plate so I could scoop my sides off and eat them . She argued with me that the chicken was cooked and they cook it for the same time all the time , I said I’m not making a stink over it but I don’t want it I’ll eat my sides it’s okay it’s not a big deal . She continued to argue with me and said the kitchen manager said there’s no way it’s raw . When I showed her the pink chicken and she realized , she apologized and took it away . Here comes our bill . The chicken is on the bill I never even bit into it not once it was cut open that’s it . I said to her why am I being charged for something I wasn’t even able to eat ? Charge me for the sides and my drink of course because I ingested those but the chicken ? She argued with me again about what her kitchen manager said . I said mam if you’re cooking all the pieces of chicken for the exact same time but not all the pieces are the exact same size and some might need a tad bit more time don’t you think there’s a chance you could accidentally serve someone raw chicken I.e tonight ? She refused to take it off the bill until I asked to speak to a manager . She walked away said she would call her and tell her . Low and behold not even two minutes later she showed up with a new bill. We were frequents at this location but we’ll never come here again . I get it you deal with irate customers from time to time but I didn’t say anything all I asked for was a new plate I didn’t ask for a new meal I didn’t cause a scene it was my children’s birthday . Absolutely...
Read moreWe went to the restaurant Denny's this morning. What a big disappointment! First of all, the waitress sat us down but did not ask us if we wanted a drink. I proceeded to the bathroom and when I came back we waited about 5 minutes before, I had to say "excuse me can we get coffee"? We decided to order our food while we asked for coffee. We told the waitress what we would like to eat. ( waitress laughed when I asked if the establishment had turkey bacon and if they do I would like that with my Eggs Benedict). I then responded we do not eat pork! As the waitress was about to complete taking our order, a waitress just coming on shift stopped the waitress who was serving us and told her to log out so that she can take over. Needless to say, we had to wait for another 5- 10 minutes until the waitress just coming on shift settled. We order our breakfast, I mentioned to the waitress, I would like my eggs benedict not runny. When the waitress came with our food, my eggs benedict was hard boiled. While the waitress was standing there, I told the waitress, this is not what I asked for. The waitress replied and said she will get a new one made. I notice she did not take my plate. So we had to wait for another 10 - 15 minutes before my eggs benedict was cooked. The waitress comes back with egg in one boil and the sauce in another and they wanted me to take off the old eggs benedict off my bread and put the new made one on it. I could not believe it, they tried to save on their bread! My husband's eggs were burnt. Poor food and very...
