During the long weekend in Mississauga, we wanted to spend a nice evening out and decided to try Finicia Modern Lebanese Kitchen, a place we’d heard great things about — especially for its food and live entertainment. It turned out to be a wonderful experience overall and one that truly captures the lively spirit of Lebanese culture. Right away, we noticed how busy and energetic the restaurant was. It’s clearly a local favorite, so I definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time — otherwise, it’s nearly impossible to find a table. Despite how packed it was, the staff handled everything really well. They were friendly, professional, and made sure guests were enjoying themselves. The whole place had a great vibe — elegant yet comfortable, with a nice mix of modern décor and Middle Eastern warmth. The food was delicious and authentically Lebanese. We started with a selection of appetizers including tabbouli, fattoush, hummus, baba ghanouj, and fried kibbeh. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The tabbouli had a perfect balance of lemon and olive oil, the fattoush was crisp with fresh vegetables and crunchy pita, and the hummus and baba ghanouj were creamy and rich with traditional taste. The fried kibbeh was golden, crunchy on the outside, and tender on the inside — just the way it should be. For our main dishes, we had grilled chicken and beef, both cooked perfectly — juicy, tender, and full of that amazing charcoal-grilled flavor. The portions were generous, the presentation was excellent, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. It really felt like a home-cooked Lebanese meal made with care. But what truly made the night unforgettable was the entertainment. The one-man show performer was absolutely fantastic — full of energy, humor, and talent. He had everyone laughing, clapping, and even singing along. There were also two singers who performed later in the evening, adding even more life to the night with traditional Lebanese songs and Arabic hits that got the whole crowd in a great mood. And the organist — what a show! He was the star of the evening, bringing incredible energy to the room. His music made everyone dance, from couples to families to entire tables. It honestly felt like being at a big Lebanese wedding — joyful, lively, and full of positive energy. You could tell the musicians truly love what they do, and that made the whole experience feel genuine and festive. Now, one important thing I’d like to mention: when the bill came, we weren’t told that gratuity was already included. I specifically mentioned to the server that I would be paying the tip in cash, and he didn’t mention that it had already been added to the bill. I ended up giving him an extra $40 cash, thinking gratuity wasn’t included, only to realize the next day that it was. It wasn’t about the money — I just wish the server had been upfront about it. For such a high-end, well-run restaurant, small details like this matter and should be handled more transparently. Aside from that one issue, everything else about our visit was exceptional. The food, the atmosphere, and especially the entertainment made for a night to remember. Finicia Modern Lebanese Kitchen is the perfect place if you want to experience the best of Lebanese culture — delicious food, amazing music, and a vibrant crowd that makes you feel right at home. We had a great time, and I would still highly recommend this place. Just make sure to double-check your bill for the included gratuity before adding an extra tip. Other than that, it’s a five-star experience all the way — and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Mississauga!

Food is very good. It was a huge event Shadi Jamil , so some items were not very hot but it is expected when you have hundreds of people. But the taste was great. They kept refilling the appetizer generously and we appreciated that very much. We did not have to beg for food like at other places. The service was amazing. Very friendly staff and FAST. They had a waiter for each table and they kept up with us. The arghileh and alcohol price were very reasonable and competitive. But for soft drinks, they should serve it in the can. $4 for a small glass of soft drink was too much and $7 for the 1.5 l water bottle, I thought a bit high but again, these high prices are kind of expected at huge expensive events like Shadi Jamil. They are a business and need to make profits. I will absolutely go there again for other events. I liked this place, service, food and decor very much and would definitely go again to enjoy.

NYE Party Review TDLR; Do Not recommended, no entrees served. Bad service. Music distorted/fuzzy sounds. Overpriced. $560 plus tip for 2 (nye tx, drinks, appetizers, hookah) no meals or takeaway food. Was advertised as $150pp with full meals.

Arrived at 10:15pm walked to the bar to request to be seated because we were not approached after waiting to be seated.

Appetizers already set on the table when arrived. Pita bread was already cut and in a ziplock on there too. Idk how long they were sitting on the table or if someone had touched it. Is this ok with the Ontario food regulations for hygiene and safety?

Had to go back to the bar to request service for drinks & water.

Fattoush salad/fried apps received at 11:30PM

1AM kept being told the entrees were late and coming soon

1:30AM tired of waiting for food asked for the bill

Server advised CASH ONLY at time to pay. Advised didn’t bring that much cash ($560) Paid bill by card and gave cash tip. Server didn’t allow to take food home. She was probably mad that she wasn’t going to be able to pocket all the $.

Called the restaurant Manager the next day to advise we weren’t allowed to take our food with us and wanted our entrees. Mgr said we should’ve been able to take our food home. Mgr said he would figure something out and call back. Never heard back.

Won’t recommend this place and won’t go again. Management probably doesn’t care about the review but at least be aware that you’re not going to get good service and a full meal with mediocre entertainment &...

Do yourself a favour and do not host any parties here as you will be scammed the way I was. I had a private event booked. Shady business practice, Shady staff and owner where customers are consistently scammed. Alcohol prices were outrageously overpriced and consistently kept changing every time I requested a list of prices for the alcohol. I had a list of alcohol that I had wanted to be served only to find out by guests that additional alcohol that I HAD NOT agreed upon to serve was being given to the guests. When confronting the owner, he claimed a random guest told him it was okay, which immediately proves how big of a scammer he was since I was NEVER informed of this throughout the event. They will try to steal your money by serving drinks that were not intended to be served and that cost more without your permission. The food was horrible- most of the appetizers seemed to be pre-made and pre-packaged from the grocery store as everything was extremely salty as I had requested food with very minimal salt. At the end of the night, I was given no receipt or breakdown of the cost and upon requesting one by paper or email, I was never provided with one. After multiple requests, I have still received nothing and have not heard back from the owner. Save your time, money and go elsewhere before being...
