I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Osteria Berto in Vaughan, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in a warm and welcoming ambiance that immediately made us feel at home.

The rustic-chic decor, complete with exposed brick, reclaimed wood, and soft lighting, created a cozy and intimate atmosphere that was perfect for a night out with friends.

Now, onto the pièce de résistance – the food! We started with the Grilled Branzino, which was cooked to perfection and literally melted in our mouths. The fish was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared.

But the real showstopper was the Angus Beef Wrap. Tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, this dish was love at first bite! The combination of the perfectly cooked beef, crispy prosciutto, and creamy gorgonzola cheese, all wrapped in a crispy flatbread, was absolute perfection.

While Osteria Berto may be a tad pricey, the exceptional quality of the food, service, and ambiance make it well worth the splurge.

I wish there were a sixth star; I would have clicked that. My brother and I landed at Toronto Pearson airport in the early afternoon and were famished. We drove around a bit looking to find healthy food. Divine intervention: we found this place. I watched as Lisa assembled my chicken wrap. She fried up thick bacon, spooned up grilled, juicy chicken pieces, placed an assortment of the freshest cooked local vegetables I have ever had on the tortilla, and then tightly bundled the whole thing for a wee sojourn on the hot grill to blend the flavours. While our wraps were grilling, Bert and Lisa talked with us about their experiences in their business. The food here is absolutely amazing, which makes writing this review so frustrating. I just discovered this place, but when I showed up at 3:15 PM—well within their posted hours of 12 to 4 PM—they had already cleaned up and were shutting everything down.

To make it worse, I could hear the woman in the back shouting like she was completely fed up with life. She barked that I should “call ahead next time” to place an order. Are you kidding me? It was 3:15, not 3:50. That’s not “almost closing”—that’s solid business hours.

Look, I get it—everyone has bad days. But if your attitude is that toxic and unwelcoming, it completely ruins the experience, no matter how good the food is.
