I can’t believe the kind of customer service my sister endured tonight. We placed an order on uber eats that came out to $80 for 3 things, and upon pickup, the lady at the counter gave her dirty looks from across the room, spoke in a very condescending tone, mumbled things under her breath about her being ugly and unruly when the worker herself was the most unruly worker we’ve ever encountered. When she asked for the food, the worker said that the restaurant doesn’t do uber eats orders. Mind you it was paid for, and just needed to be picked up. She repeated herself multiple times and my sister had to fight to get the food that we paid for!!! Terrible, horrible customer service. This lady wore glasses, was heavier set, and short. She needs to be called out for this behaviour. So terribly disappointed. To top it all off, the food was terrible too. We got egusi soup with chicken and jollof rice and chicken and the chicken was inedible and the egusi had a huge top...
Read morethe food is AMAAAAAzing. spicy if you can handle it, but you can always ask for adjustments. BUT!!
one thing i didn’t like is i brought my partner (who is not african) and they automatically gave her non spicy rice, assuming she couldn’t handle it. the food also takes FOREVER. i know they’re making it fresh but unfortunately, a lot of my people’s (africans) service is lacking. they should be able to do some prep in advance so that food doesn’t take half an hour to an hour to be made. people be hungry! when dining in, they only have one bell which they pass from table to table. otherwise, servers aren’t really on the floor. they have tvs playing two completely different things, and it’s not a huge place, so the audio clashes very badly. i really really recommend them for the food, but wouldn’t necessarily suggest going in, as the food will be just as good via uber eats. it’ll probably be a 2 hour wait, but at least you can...
Read moreMy client and I stopped by for lunch as it was in the neighbourhood, had good reviews and looked like a small business so we wanted to support.
We got the Asun and side orders of Plantains and Turkey.
The Asun was okay, but the food was not hot when it came to the table. Flavours were okay and the plantains were mid. It seemed like left overs and not freshly made.
We were recommended the turkey, but when we got it, it was not hot and super tough that our knives had challenge cutting through it. We didn’t finish it. It almost seemed like it was left overs from another day and didn’t taste fresh.
Overall the portions were small for the price and the food was not well executed and very expensive for what we got.
Our server was very nice, but the wait time was quite long to get our food in an empty restaurant. We had to reconfirm our order as they didn’t get it right...
