Doesn't even deserve 1 star. Worst experience ever and all I ordered was a FREE coffee that my son gifted me playing monopoly. This digital age of apps and points, mobile orders and mobile order kiosks has not improved customer service and satisfaction one bit. In fact it has turned somewhat intelligent minimum wage earning, incentive driven youths and gen-z's into neanderthals who can't do anything without looking at a screen. At McDonald's paying customers have been turned into numbers and employees into bumbling idiots with zero social skills and zero appreciation for efficiency. Mobile kiosk orders and mobile orders get priority over this old school consumer who just wanted a coffee. Instead I had to wait while incoming digital orders were prepared. I get the order of things but it took 5min and me leaning over the counter just to get someone's attention to come over to the vacant register that probably never gets used because everyone pays with their mobile device and digital currency before they even walk in! No "hello's" or "how can I help you's", just a "I'll be right with you" (and your easy-free-coffee-of-a-nothing-order) right after all these other people swaying back and forth get their orders. There was literally one person at the front to make sure all the paid, paying and waiting customers were being served. I'm telling you, it was like that scene from 2001 with all the monkeys staring at the strange monilyth. But instead, it was I who was staring cross-eyed at the order screen as my lowly coffee order number sat at the bottom and barely moved! Could somebody have just poured me a coffee because in principle it was that easy? Nope, that would be above and beyond. The age of multitasking, fast order prep, and good service, which is the essence of fast food has been lost at McDonald's, especially at this location, where my small "fair-trade arabica 2 cream and 1 sugar" took between 10 and 15min to get! I will never go into a McDonald's again. Guess going forward, should I choose McDonald's I'll have to waste expensive gas in the drive-thru as it appeared (from the inside of this location and maybe most locations) that there were more hands on deck to get to the customers in cars that there were to get to the customers inside. Que flashback... I did have good customer service at the McDonald's at Bayview and Major Mackenzie but it was so long ago that the disconnect due to consistent terrible service makes it feel like a dream. I may seem like the Grimace here but these are the facts Jack! Have fun tracking people's spending habits McDonald's... You won't get...
Read moreThis was an absolute gong show on a pick up through the parking lot. There were zero signs saying, which way to drive to actually get into the drive-through the normal entrance the next entrance and even going around did not work. Many drivers were confused. Eventually we had to drive in near where you come back out of the drive-through and then go around the building again. Aside from that they had run out of s’mores for putting into the McFlurry and there were signs everywhere and the signboards said it was available, but it wasn’t so note to management you need to put up signs when you have a problem in the parking lot note number two if you run out of a product put it on the sign board saying sorry we’re out of this product. anyway, it took about 20 minutes to get through all the way. When we drove up to the pay window, the credit card method of payment was broken. We were not told this at the time we made the purchase. I don’t blame the young man for forgetting to tell us because he seemed to be way overwhelmed and being yelled at from the inside and there were some argument going on with the staff in there. My piece of advice is get better management in there and watch what’s going on. It was a very bad experience and we probably won’t come back to this location. This is not the first time I’ve had bad service at this location or had something screwed up. Luckily the food was correct and it wasn’t any different than any other McDonald’s once we got it however, the whole drive-through experiments was terrible. I repeat Terrible management needs to address this and not put their own employees under such stress like I said I feel bad for the young man that was at the order area and I find it really ridiculous that you don’t have one person taking the order another person, taking cash and a third person filling the order I think cutting back like this is...
Read moreWhat a horrible Mcdonald's experience. We love Mcdonalds but would not go back if this franchise is in any way a reflection of the whole company. Here are some of the reasons why:
