I am sharing my recent disappointing experience at Osmow’s Shawarma, located at 241 Trade Valley Dr, Woodbridge, ON L4H 3N5. My visit was marked by poor service, low-quality portions, and what I consider to be a lack of transparency and integrity in food preparation and pricing. Details of My Visit: Upon ordering, I was greeted politely by the staff, and I placed an order for a Philly Chicken Wrap and a small box of beef, requesting beef only. I was informed the beef could only be sold by ounce, so I reluctantly agreed to the minimum portion. When preparing the Philly Chicken Wrap, the staff member seemed inexperienced and untrained, adding only a minimal amount of chicken, literally a few vegetables, and a quick dash of sauce and cheese to the pan. The final wrap was approximately five inches in length, considerably smaller than wraps I’ve had at other similar establishments. The beef order was even more troubling. When it was brought to me in a closed container, I requested to see the portion and discovered it was extremely minimal, with approximately 60% of the meal only onions and tomatoes – a far cry from the “beef only” order I had placed. Despite explaining my dissatisfaction to the staff, they claimed this was the standard procedure and refused to address the issue, leaving me feeling overcharged and disregarded as a customer. I ultimately paid $23.71 for what was an inadequate, poorly portioned, and unsatisfactory meal. Concerns and Request for Action: Transparency in Pricing and Portion Size: Charging approximately $8+ for a small beef portion that barely fills the container is unreasonable and misleading. Given that other Shawarma establishments offer customizable portion sizes without heavily diluting meat orders with vegetables, I urge Osmow’s to reassess their portion standards and ensure transparency in what customers are truly receiving. Food Quality and Consistency: Food consistency and training of staff are critical. Staff should be trained to prepare menu items accurately and consistently, respecting the portions and ingredients advertised. Customer Service: Staff and management showed little initiative to address my dissatisfaction, indicating a possible indifference to customer experience. A manager or supervisor should be available to promptly address concerns, especially when product quality or portion size is questioned. I would not recommend visiting Osmow’s Shawarma at 241 Trade Valley Dr. to anyone looking for quality and value. The experience felt like I was paying for the cost-saving measures of the store rather than for the food itself. I urge Osmow’s management to address these concerns seriously to avoid further customer dissatisfaction.
As a customer, I have the right to fair pricing, transparency in portion sizes, and respectful service. Failing to meet these standards not only violates consumer trust but also risks damaging the brand's reputation in the community. I request that Osmow’s leadership team investigate the practices at this location and take corrective actions, ensuring that customers are not shortchanged. I am sharing this review publicly across platforms to inform others of my experience and to encourage Osmow’s to prioritize quality and customer service. I hope that future customers will be treated with the respect and fairness that every customer deserves. Thank you for your attention to...
Read moreThis is the worst Shawrma restaurant ever. They don't know how to make a shawarma sandwich or a plate. I come from Middle Eastern background, and when I tell you it is the worst, that means it's the worst ever. It's owned by Indians, I am not being racist or anything, but it's not their cup of tea to prepare. The real authentic shawarma is made by Middle Easterns, coming from backgrounds like Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and even Turkey. I had food poison because their chicken was not fresh, and I could tell they mixed old chicken with the new one. They filled my plate with sauces to the point that it was soaked like soup even though I didn't ask for that much. The type of sauces they use, they taste like indian sauces that they use for their dishes. Their sauces are rich and creamie. They were all stored close to the grille, and that's no, no , they can go bad or spoil. This is not only in Osmow's restaurant but also other shawarma restaurants that's owned by Indians. I had diarrhea for 48 hrs non-stop because it wasn't so fresh and clean. Bottom line, it was the worst experience ever, I should call Health Canad to inspect their restaurant. I recommend not dining in there or takeout. Try real authentic shawarma in Middle Eastern or Turkish restaurants, and you can immediately tell the difference between the quality of...
Read moreDisappointed with the Reduced Portion Sizes – Not Worth the Price Anymore
I’ve been a regular customer at Osmow’s for a while, but recently I’ve noticed a significant reduction in portion sizes, and it’s been disappointing. The price remains the same, but the portions have shrunk drastically, making it feel like a complete ripoff.
I recently ordered my usual dish, and when I got home and opened it, I was shocked. The portion was way too small, with about 75% of it being just rice and a very thin layer of meat on top. It’s frustrating to pay hard-earned money and get something that feels like they’re skimping on ingredients.
I understand that prices may go up, but reducing portions to this extent without adjusting the price fairly feels like they’re taking advantage of their customers. This behavior is unacceptable, especially when people trust a place for its quality and quantity. Osmow’s used to be great, but this is not the way to retain loyal customers. I hope they reconsider their portion sizes and value for money, because it’s hard to justify paying for what feels like...
