This is the location that my gf and I usually order pizza from when we have pizza night in.
Up until the most recent visit, we've had stellar pizza from this place. Lots of well-cooked toppings, sauced nicely and dough cooked thoroughly.
Our most recent order on Victoria Day long weekend, however, was a different story.
We ordered thin crust (different than our usual regular crust) choice and when we opened the box, realized that it was very similar to the Edge crust at Pizza Hut. Almost like a cracker. Now this was probably our fault as we thought it would be similar to the hand tossed thin crust at Domino's.
What I CAN call out is the pizza's quality itself. Whoever made our pizza skimped out on a lot of toppings. There were areas on some of the slices that were almost all cheese. The sauce base was also scarce.
In addition, the large, 4 topping, everyday special is supposed to be $14.99 but when I went to checkout, my pizza was $18.48 in the cart rather than $14.99 before tax and delivery fee which did not make sense at all. I think whoever coded the site needs to fix some things on the backend because customers are being misled by the $14.99 listed on the site. It's not really an "everyday special" if you're paying over $20 for the pizza (pre-delivery fee).
MOREOVER, they put the banana pepper in the box but FORGOT TO GIVE US THE GARLIC BUTTER DIPPING SAUCE. Absolutely egregious (almost failable actually).
I'm hoping that this was just an anomaly (in terms of the pizza quality) because it was long weekend and they were swamped with orders. I'll order again on a regular day next time and see if the quality we're used to, resumes.

Read morePlaced my order online. Was very exited to try papa John's as I have not yet had the chance. Placed the order 20 min prior to arriving at the store. When I arrived, I was told it hadn't even been started yet. I asked for a refund instead as I didn't want to wait another 20-30 min as quoted.
Was told it would be refunded back to my card, and the next time I was to come in, I'd get a free drink. So... No confirmation of the refund? What if it never comes through? I explained this and cashier and she called the store manager. Said they would give store credit instead. Okay fine... I asked for proof. Gift card maybe? Nope.. Cashier said that it would be in the system. Sorry - but if you can't get a pizza in the oven 20 min after its been ordered, I can't fully trust that you'll keep track of the store credit properly. Finally she called the manager back to ask about the gift card and he told her to just give me cash. Fine. She said, next time, you'll get a free drink. Yeah, thanks but no thanks. Highly unlikely that I'll be back. Terrible first experience.
Side note. Not at all upset with either of the people that were working in the store. I only saw two people working in the store during a Monday night dinner rush. Both were clearly stressed, over worked andd honestly, the girl making the pizzas was basically a pizza ninja. She was quick. But you can only make so many pizzas before you eventually fall behind. This is on the management. How do you only have one person assigned to making the pizzas and another at the cash? This is what happens when you try to cut your labour costs too much. I tried placing an order by phone for the 2 topping 2 medium pizzas for $20, because it wasn’t working online when I tried it. When I was placing it by phone, the employee didn’t like that I was trying to verify the price, and put pressure on me to order the pizza. Finally, when I tried to place the order, they hung up on me. I tried calling them back, but they offered to give me a discount to what the price should have been under the 2 medium 2 topping pizzas for $20. I didn’t feel comfortable ordering the pizza from them, because I knew they would tamper with it somehow to get back at me. This isn’t the first time I’ve experienced the awful level of service from them and probably not the last. I later tried calling and asked them to speak with the manager, but they said the manager would only show up after 5:30pm; so when I reached them then they said that the manager wasn’t showing up at all. They not only lied but also proceeded to hang up the phone in a rude manner.
