What is with places in Vaughan not posting clear pricing for their merchandise?? This place is no different. Went in for a simple lunch at the hot table counter. See that there is a meat dish that is offered with two sides for 11.99. When I ordered the calamari, was asked what size, small medium large. There are sizes? Well, how much for each ( I dunno). Then asked, what sides I want. When I questioned, what choices were available, I was met with a quizzical look. Well, could you point me in the proper direction then to where the sides are located so I could have a look then? Again, no help.
Ask for a side of potatoes. Again, what size? Gawd, I don't have this much difficulty at my local McDonald's! If I just order a main, should the sides come with it in terms of uniform size? Mosey on down to the cash register. Yea, that'll be 18+bucks. For a small calamari and a side of potatoes???!!! So I just paid just to get out of there. Really... would it kill them to post clear signage on how their meals are sold, what sizing I can get, how much it is. Is it sold by piece, by weight, by how compatible your astrological sign is to the servers? What? At least give me something, instead, I'm peppered with questions I have no idea to answer cause I've never been there before. When I ask a question, I'm then met with a stumped look and non-answer. Going to the cash register should not be Forrest Gump experience... you'll only know what you get when you open it up. In this case, I have no idea what I just ordered cost. I think they do this intentionally.
Same deal at Yummy Market down the street. No idea what the items cost, how they're sold, what I can get with the meal etc etc.
Great selection and good food, but I won't be returning anytime soon. Going out for a quick lunch should not be a Spanish Inquisition of being peppered with questions or Russian roulette in terms of what you'll get at the...
Read moreWe ordered food from here for Christmas Eve and we got the baccala and frittua mista. I went and picked it up and the manager Sandy asked when we were going to eat it I told him later on around 5pm and I picked up at 12ish. He said to put it in the oven to warm it up for 10 mins. I said ok and took the trays home. When I got home we noticed that there was no octopus in the tray as stated on the Christmas menu and there were about 8/9 shrimp in the tray which is a complete rip off. Then we opened the tray of baccala and it was disgusting it was raw and slimy. I called back right away and Sandy told me he would look into it and I said we sent an email with photos attached. Well he never got back to me I had to call when they were opened again to follow up. Sandy said he would give us a refund of 80$ which when we got a refund receipt it was only 70$ and we called again asking why the 2 different prices. He went on about how there was no taxes when we placed the order but now there is taxes. But we all know that there is no taxes on food till February. He still argued with me about it. I asked about the refund on the shrimp and he said he would give a refund on that as well but it’s been a week since I spoke to him last and we still haven’t gotten a refund. We paid over 200$ and only got back 70$. Once we saw the fish we had to rush to the store and buy fish for our family dinner which cost us another 100$. This place has horrible customer service and this manager Sandy is a complete joke. I will never order from them again. They should of never let the fish go to a customer raw that could of caused major food poisoning if someone ate it. He didn’t even check it when he handed me the tray. Will never order from here again and never recommend someone to come here. They clearly don’t know there food safety...

This is an amazing bakery and cafe in Vaughan. I find this place so beautiful and comfortable to spend some time in on weekends. It’s a super pleasant place.
They have three locations in Ontario. Woodbridge, Maple, and Nobelton. We are planning on visiting the 2 other locations soon. Normally we visit on weekends, which we always find very busy but the staff serves customers pretty quickly.
Everything that we have tried from this place has been consistently delicious. Haven't tried the coffee here, but the Espresso and Cappuccino is top-notch!
They have a wide variety of baked goods. Variety of fresh bread/buns and baguettes. They have a good selection of cheese, cold cuts, and meats. They serve quality stuff.
We have been to several Italian bakeries in the area, and this place has recently become one of our favorite ones. They do Italian desserts well here. Their Cannoli's are top-notch! They have all sorts of delicious pasteries/cakes, tarts, cannolis, Zeppole, croissants, Prosciutto rolls, and pizza buns. My husband loves their chocolate croissants. My most favorite is the strawberry cheesecake. I absolutely love it! So tasty! Honestly, everything is so delicious and fresh.
Hot table Food is also amazing! When you walk closer to the back of the bakery, you will find their hot food section. The calamari, pizza, pasta, and the paninis.
Let's not forget about their Italian cookies and gelato. They have an amazing collection of cakes and do custom cakes for birthdays or special events as well.
Nice atmosphere and very clean and spacious.
There have been times that few of the employees would get caught up in their own conversations and forget to pay close attention to customers waiting to be served.
