Red Rooster Portuguese BBQ — Restaurant in Vaughan

Dispute getting a few mix reviews decided to try this spot and give them the benefit of the doubt. They missed up the order (despite me asking then to check it when I picked it up, which the girl casually did) and we didn't have enough food at a birthday party. I called them right away to see if we could fix the issue, but they don't answer their phone during dinner hours. Was finally able to reach them hours after dinner was over, and wasn't even given an apology, just a dismissive "come and pick up the missing stuff" I explained to them that dinner was over and I tried to contact them during it and furthermore that I live downtown so couldn't just drive up and was told "that's all I can do." The experience has left a bad taste and I do not recommend this place at all. I would give them 0 stars if I could because of the rude staff, casual attitude like they were doing me a favor and not their job and dismissive attitude when trying to rectify the issue that was totally...

The food was decent portion for the price and the flavor is decent. Below average Portuguese grill. The server/ cashier "Oya" was extremely rude in the way she responded to us from the beginning, she was unprofessional she even yelled at us. When asked for the managers information she replied stating "the problem is with me so you should be talking to me and not my manager..."When asked for cutlaries she threw them on the bag and walked away. Due to the behavioral issue from this employee who represents the establishment I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I would suggest saving yourself a head ache and eat somewhere else. Such as churrasco villa or churrasqueira grill house in little Portugal. My suggestion to the owner is to either hire better front desk staff or perhaps train them better in customer service. I'm going to go out and say that this is probably the best Portuguese chicken I have ever had. Brought a lot of my Portuguese family and friends and they all agreed that it is a fantastic food. I've been to my fair share of Portuguese restaurants and I have to say that red rooster is one of the only ones that I know that charges extra for the Piri Piri sauce. We had a big order spent well over $280 and was still charged for sauces. I've been going to this location for a long time and they never used to charge for the sauce. After spending $280 you could have given a couple of complimentary sauces.

Red rooster sauce is amazing. it's so good that I usually buy an extra one to keep at home but was shocked when I ordered such a big order of chicken and have to pay extra for sides of sauces. Otherwise this restaurant does deserve a five-star. Just left a sour...
