Let me begin by saying that this review is purely based on the actions of the manager named Joe. The food was delicious....the agnolotti, polenta fries and veal parm were all well done. The antipasto was a very cheap portion...2 thin slivers of cheese, two small pieces of prosciutto and a single boconcino cut into 4....accompanied by a large portion of vegetables. For $17 ...I expected more. the website says $14...I understand prices are subject to change...but it's also very easy to update an online menu when there is an almost 20 percent increase on an item. Service was good, no complaints there. My girlfriend ordered the agnolotti and I had veal parm. My veal parm came, but the pasta did not. No problem...delays happen...I don't mind waiting for good food. Server was nice and honest and said there was a problem with the computer button and it will be 2 to 3 minutes. Rather then let the veal get cold I just decided to share with my girlfriend. 5 minutes passes...no pasta. Without inquiring myself the server came and apologized and said it would be another 5 minutes. No problem...food was good so I'll wait. Another 10 minutes goes by...a second server comes to apologize and said it will be coming now. By this point, 2 to 3 minutes turned into 15, so "coming now" can't be trusted...I told her to cancel the pasta. After a minute or so I felt bad so I approached the girl and said that if it's not too late that we will just take it as I felt bad for it to go to waste...she said "ok so we won't throw it out" ...to which I replied "you're not going to throw it out...we will take it". Like I mentioned the pasta was very good. When a table of two has such a great length of time between both meals arriving, I expected the owner or manager to at least come to say something...especially after getting the "it's 2 to 3 minutes away" lie several times. Bottle of pinot noir...2 glasses of Chianti.. antipasto...polenta fries...veal parm and pasta...2 after dinner drinks...$160 Bill. Upon receiving the bill...I asked the server if she thought it was right for there to be such a big delay in between entrees...she agreed that it wasn't right...it was bad...but kept saying that she can't do anything because she's not the manager...that he was in the back. After hearing that, I asked for the manager.. .it's his job to deal with a problem. After dealing with this jerk, I completely understand why he's in the back. He storms out of the kitchen which is right beside our table saying..."I'm busy but I'll come see" ...1. if you handled the problem at the time of the problem...then there would be no problem. 2. you never ever let a customer hear you say that...even if you are too busy...you say it in the back behind a closed door ...especially a table of 2 that just spent 160 without tip. This guy comes to the table already with attitude and I asked him if he was made aware of the situation that happened. He replied that he was aware...to which I asked him if he thought it was right that a table spending good money shouldn't be given at least a little something for such a situation. His response..."maybe I would have done something if it wasn't for the way you acted...first you want the pasta...then you don't want the pasta...then you say we aren't going to throw it out" ...we were in utter shock that this guy was talking to us in this manner...in a now half full dining room...with such an attitude. Here I was expecting an apology...or maybe a little dessert...anything to show some sort of appreciation of a customer who spent hard earned money in your establishment. Never have I ever dealt with such a poor mannered individual...now I know why he is in the back where he doesn't need to interact with anyone. At the end of the brief verbal lashing I received...rather than confront this guy...i asked him to leave and get me the machine to pay...to which he replied " you don't tell me to leave...i tell you to leave" ...we were beyond shocked. Stay in the back Joe and the restaurant...
Read moreI recently ordered pizza from "That's Italian Ristorante". Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience with this restaurant. We unsealed the pizza boxes upon our guests arriving only to discover that both pizza boxes were most definitely dropped as all the pizza slices and toppings were to one side. I expressed what happened to Joe Lombardo; Michela Lombardo and Mary Zarkadoulas. They wanted proof therefore pictures were sent. Their response was "take your business elsewhere". I told them that they fail significantly in the most basic concepts of "customer service". Also, that their response speaks volumes on how they are running their business and that it was a clear representation as to who they are as individuals. They were indifferent and did not want to do nothing to make things right. Save your money and go somewhere else!! They do not care about paying customers. I recommended to them that they use my payment perhaps in attending a class in "customer service" at their local community center.
Not surprised to the amazing quick response to my negative review of your pizza restaurant. I can see from all the past negative reviews this is what you do. You look for anything to get back at the person, you make up stories, comment on the use of coupons, their tip amounts etc. to just name a few.
This further response is to clarify on your made up points to my my negative review:
The pizza order was delivered at about 6:00 p.m. We waited for all the guests to arrive before we opened the sealed pizza boxes at about 7:00 p.m. We called your establishment as soon as we opened the boxes when our final guests arrived. We don't know why the pizzas' were ruined ask your HONEST driver who has had past experiences with dropping pizza boxes. Why would we sabotage our own pizza order with a house full of guests? Makes no sense. We only recall one time over 10 years when there was an issue with our order, I remember the pizza was burnt. I don't remember any other times. My work email was used for convenience and for no other purpose at all. I think most people can relate with this point and are intelligent enough to see where you were going with this. Where I work as no relevance what so ever to a PIZZA order. Enjoy the cake and icing though!
Congratulations you are the ONLY restaurant I have ever given a negative review to.
The only thing that you are correct about in your response is that there are many amazing restaurants to go to. Again it is our pleasure to take our...
Read moreI came here for my birthday yesterday, I originally booked for 8 however due to recent government changes impacting the economy I had to change it to 6. I booked online which was easy but I still had a few questions. However is was New Years so restaurants were closed, I happened to come across one of the owners profile (it's not that creepy as it sounds I swear) I sent him a message and her later responded being a huge help! This restaurant cares about their people and the community.
The atmosphere is warm and modern. You can walk in the front and see every seat and table (no divider walls). Our reservation was at 7:30 which may have been late as they close at 9. It took some time for a server to come to us and to be honest this is the only slightly negative thing to say because everything else was great or amazing. We also have to keep in mind that because of the pandemic/government that there may be specific amount of short staffed. This was taken care of and got quicker as time went on.
So THE FOOD was delicious, calamari fritti was good and Pollo Parmigiana was filling I couldn't finish the whole thing I had to take left overs. We also had wine - they have a great selection. I had a glass of the Corte Cabernet Sauvignon which was so smooth I wanted to have more. Because yesterday was their only day open since the government is shutting down gyms and restaurants (again), they also gave us a few extras. Like garlic bread serves for but they notice we had five so they included and extra piece! They're generous and doesn't want people to feel unincluded.
Overall my experience there was over the top and their compassion is what community is about. It was past 9 and the kitchen was closed but the serve went to see what dessert was left because they knew it was my birthday. They allowed us to stay and take picture but gave us enough time to let us know when to go. One of the servers even gave me one of their fake flowers to take home. I'm sad Ford had to revert back to stage 2 and shut down indoor dining - once things reopen I would come back here. They went above and beyond.
If someone read this far can you tell me the full name of that Corte Cabernet Sauvignon so I can get a...
