Wow! Is something I found myself saying sooo much! We tried most of the gelato flavours, and most of the focachia's and iced latte. It was heaven! We began reminiscing of when we were in Tuscany. It made us feel like we were in Italy. They import all of their ingredients from Italy & you can taste it! We even tried the lasagna and it was the lasagna you remember growing up with. My 3-year old gobbled it down. I am gluten intolerant and when I ate this fluffy, light bread I had zero reactions. Which means this flour is pure Italian flour, which it is. I purchased their bottle of imported olive oil and everything it touches makes everything taste fresh & crisp. And it clears my sinuses. It's liquid gold. Im going back and buying a crate! I also purchased their balsamic vinegar & it is amazing!! I tried it on top of their vanilla Gelato with strawberries and it tasted like butterscotch ice cream!
They sell bottles of wine & beer and have a beautiful patio with shade. The lady who owns/runs it is just a beautiful human inside and out. She is so passionate about every ingredient and seemed to have a personal connection with everyone who stepped foot in her shop. We need more places like this! This has become our absolute staple in wasaga beach. We will slowly make our way down to trying absolutely every item sold...
Read moreI've been by a couple times for espresso and a gelato but I hadn't stopped by for a sandwich yet. I stopped by today and boy am I happy I did! I got the Classico prosciutto sandwich, the rustica Italian sausage and rapini sandwich, an almond biscotti and a lemon biscotti. The rustica sandwich was good, But I would probably try something else next time. The sausage was all broken up into pieces I was expecting actual sausage cut in half. The rapini was good. The Classico prosciutto sandwich though was excellent. It was a nice cut of prosciutto, tomatoes were very fresh as was the mozzarella cheese. The focaccia bread on both sandwiches was super fresh, fragrant and soft. The sandwiches are definitely good, I just found with the thick focaccia bread it was a lot of bread. I might ask them to trim the focaccia a bit and make it not as thick next time. But that's just a personal preference. The biscotti was excellent. Very authentic, not too sweet.
The owner was the one who served me and I had a nice chat with her. When I went to pay my bill by card, she didn't put the option to leave a tip - while I would be happy to leave a tip, I appreciated this small gesture since it was the owner serving me and not an employee. I have nothing but great things to say and will definitely...
Read moreThis is a very cute little focaccia shop. The owners are extremely friendly and really take their time to explain things to their guests. The food overall is great, with one exception. Foccacia is excellent quality and clearly very fresh, while they do not sell it on its own they do sell it in a sandwich form. They top their sandwiches with fresh and authentic ingredients, the mozzarella is fantastic. The gelato bar is also lovely and has a great selection of flavours. The flavours were absolutely top notch and unique. (Apple pie for example). The lasagna was very disappointing. It was clearly not fresh and extremely dry. I could tell that at one time it was a beautiful lasagna but, you know when you make lasagna at home and go to microwave it the next day (that rubbery dry texture)… well that’s what I got. I would not order this item again nor recommend it. The restaurant should consider taking it off the menu as it diminishes the otherwise, amazing food they’re putting out. With that said though, it’s one badly executed dish where the rest of the menu is fantastic. I highly recommend a visit for a sandwich, a coffee and some gelato. A great new...
