⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Donair Masterpiece & Hospitality at Its Finest – Wasaga Pizza is a Must-Visit!
Let me start by saying this: If you haven’t tried the donair at Wasaga Pizza, you are missing out on one of life’s greatest culinary treasures. As someone who’s chased the perfect donair from coast to coast, I can confidently declare that this is the BEST donair I’ve ever had outside of East Coast Canada—and I’d argue it rivals even the iconic spots in Halifax!
The moment I took my first bite, I knew this was something special. The succulent, perfectly seasoned beef was sliced thin and piled high on a fluffy, fresh-baked pita. The balance of spices was impeccable—smoky, savory, and just the right amount of kick. But the real star? That creamy, sweet garlic sauce drizzled generously over the top. It’s clearly homemade, with a tangy richness that ties the whole masterpiece together. Every component sings in harmony, and the portion size is generous without sacrificing quality. This isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience.
Now, let’s talk about the heart of this place: the owner. This guy is the definition of a class act. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about his craft, he took the time to chat with me about the donair’s East Coast roots (he’s a Nova Scotia native, which explains the authenticity!). What really struck me, though, was his humility. As I raved about the food, he smiled and said, “Only leave a review if you honestly loved it—no pressure.” How refreshing to meet someone who cares more about integrity than empty praise! Of course, I also sampled their pizza (crispy crust, top-tier toppings), and the garlic fingers with donair sauce are a must-order sidekick. But let’s be real—you’re coming here for the donair. It’s a taste of the Maritimes right in Wasaga Beach, crafted with love and expertise.
Run, don’t walk, to Wasaga Pizza. The food is phenomenal, the owner is a gem, and the donair? Pure perfection. Five stars don’t feel like enough. I’m already planning my next visit—and if you’re smart, you...

I can't reply to your comment so I'll edit here.
Yea 100 %, so the quality of the dough itself is probably the best in all of wasaga. Some places are too dry, too wet, too starchy, etc. Your dough itself is nearly perfect. That being said, it could be slightly thinner, not so much that it's a thin crust itself, but just a little less volume of breading in every bite would go a great distance into making a renowned pizza.
The thoroughness of the Bake matters greatly to people who like pizza, some like it lightly cooked and floppy, some like it medium, others well done to the point of slight charring and a rigid slice when it's held up from the box. I asked for mine to be well done when ordering, to the point of char and it was boxed lightly cooked.
The quality of ingredients weren't anything to complain about, I think your sauce is hearty and balanced on the pallette. The cheese may have been so so, but I think it had more to do with the lack of cook time not letting it truly melt and meld flavour.
I really think that if the pizza were slightly thinner, and the staff were trained to pay attention to the customers request for done-ness on the cook, and given exact times for how to cook to specific done-ness: lightly, medium, and well, then you'd be the go to spot.
I'll buy a pizza off you Sunday night if you wanna get a better review. If you knock it out of the park, I'll delete this one and give you a review so good you could use it in advertisements. But its gotta be a crisp, proud pizza. I do pepperoni, hot peppers,...
Read moreOver all i'd give wasaga pizza a high rating - 9/10. I was a bit let down at first, but that was my fault: i saw the pictures online of nice tables with red checkered table clothes and assumed this was more of a sit-down restaurant where they'd serve you. So when my wife and i were looking to go out to dinner on date night, it seemed like a nice casual choice. It's actually more of a regular pizza place though, and just happens to have some nice tables. You order regular pizza and wings, and use regular counter service to order. Once i realised the type of place we were actually in and adjusted expectations, we were fine. And the guys working were very friendly and had a great attitude. Even though it wasn't"t part of their job, they served us the food at our table and gave us everything we needed. There was a mix up on our order initially, but they fixed that quickly and were very pleasant about it. We had the wings and pizza. The wings could have used a touch more sauce, but were very big and meaty - about twice the size wings usually are! The pizza was also really good, though for the nit pickers reading, it seems like they are of the school that puts the pepperoni under the cheese, so if you like crispy pepperoni, you should request that. Bottom line, i probably wouldn't pick it again for date night, but if you're just looking for good pizza, i'd recommend...
