Have to be very honest. If I could give this place 0 starts I would definitely do that. First the Menu needs to be changed. The Salmon is not stuffed but topped. Me and my friends came to this restaurant to enjoy happy hour but because the bar was full of people and they closed the patio we could not enjoy the happy hours prices. While the staff is young and nice they are very unexperienced. Our waiter did not know how to hold a tray with glasses on there And also almost spilt the liquor on me. The young girl eye lashes was longer than my beard and I was afraid one of her hairs was going to fall into my food. Another young lady maid was so long she could barely hold our plates. Made me feel like her hands was dirty and full of germs. It took us 45 mins to get our drinks and another 30 mins to get appetizers. Another 45 mins to order our food only to be told then that there was no lobster for the macaroni. This is something that should be told to you from the beginning not after you order and wait for you food. I have been coming to this place from Columbus Ohio for almost 10 years. Twice a year I drive 2 hours away to meet my friends and family and to enjoy the stuffed salmon. I found out while I was there it was under new ownership. I support black businesses as I am a black owner myself but the service there sucks. When spending so much money in a restaurant you deserve great service. This place is ran like hometown buffet. Get rid of all the family you have working there. Trying to make it a family business is not gone work. Get rid of the friends kids and family that works there. I understand that he has had it for 3 months now but this place is going down hill. Why buy a place that you can’t keep going the way it was. This was the last owner passion and it showed in the food and service. Now it’s just a cash cow and no passion and the service sucks. Change the menu and update it to fit what you guys cook. We got there at 5:20 and did not receive our food until 7:45pm only to receive what we did not order. We was not the only ones who had complaints. I will...

I went to Bogda two times and don't plan on giving it another chance. The food is not worth the price. I tried the "hand-pulled noodles with stir fry meat + vegetables" ; Hardly any meat was present, the noodles weren't completely cooked and low quality, sauce was watered down, and there were almost more vegetables than noodles.
Both times that I was there I've had issues with the server. 1st experience: Ordered food. Half of my order was missing. I double checked with the server and she tells me it will be out "shortly". So I wait for 30 minutes (not exaggerating) then double check with the owner was never even told about the other half of my order and put it off as the girl being "new" then tells me the product is unavailable. 2nd experience: Ordered food. Once again half my order was missing. So I double checked with the SAME server. And she did not understand me at all, I was speaking very clearly and repeated myself several times as well as pointing at the menu but she did not understand. So a separate server that must have stopped in during the day came by to help her. I told her how I was missing 2 spring rolls and wondered if they were coming. The server cuts me off and says "yes! They are coming shortly!" 25 minutes later I finally get my TWO spring rolls and they were not cooked completely ie. the center was still frozen. The food is decent at most and not worth dealing with the price and service. The only thing I can give more than 3 ratings on is the atmosphere; the owner provides nice hospitality and the decorations and seating is...
Read moreSo i visited on a Saturday evening and it was empty. Chef herself came out and was very nice and accommodating. Asked if it was our first time trying Uyghur food (it was) and then went through the menu with an explanation of the specialities and the recommendation.
Quiet, small, relaxing place. Everything was fresh (as the chef mentioned) and as my taste buds agreed. She made it right after the the order and didn’t rush, it didn’t take too long or too short. Just right.
All the food was delicious. The lamb kawap (skewers) was just mouth watering. So fat and delicious. 10/10. Though the nan they were served isn’t anything to write about. The dumplings were just as good as the skewers. Juicy and flavourful. The laghman was great and I’ll definitely try again. Although the narin wasn’t to my taste, it was still good. I’ll try a diff narin next time. We also got extra cold noodles to eat in the leftover gravy/broth of the narin and laghman.
After that came some nice relaxing atkan chai. The price is for a kettle, not just a single cup, so it is very good pricing. Enough chai for a party of 4-6 people. Came with a bowl of traditional snacks (some type of bread I think) to accompany the drinks.
The prices are slightly high but within reason. It’ll run you about 20 per person average before tax. But the portions and plates are very large. The laghman dishes are meant per person but for someone quite small, it might be too much.
Overall: delicious food, great service, quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Nice relaxing place to take a date or family...
