DoughBox Woodfired Pizza and Pasta Waterloo — Restaurant in Waterloo

Absolutely disgusted. We have ordered 3 times. The 1st time during their first week was amazing. The dinner for 2 special was the best value we've seen in the region and I was ACTIVELY promoting it to friends and family. The second time we tried the same thing but with different pizzas, pasta, and salad. The second time we didn't receive our dipping sauce, my pizza was missing toppings and was cold. Our pasta also tasted bland. We thought maybe we just didn't like the items or it was an off night.Tonight we went back to our original order, but this is the last straw. My entire pizza was covered in slimy, wet, rotted arugula. I cannot believe this left the kitchen. Our pasta was disgusting. The bacon can not have been fully cooked, the mushrooms were shaved so thin we could barely find them, and the chicken slices are just odd. The sauce was awful. It tasted like straight pepper and parmesan cheese with some water or maybe milk added. Definitely not a carbonara. Not to mention they removed the Dinner for 2 special so we got half the food, at a fraction of the quality, for double the price. What is incredibly frustrating is that you can tell the main ingredients remain the same (pizza sauce, salad dressings, cheese etc), but someone just doesn't care about what they're doing or is trying to cut corners. We won't be back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Dough Box Pizza Shop, and my experience was outstanding, thanks in large part to one exceptional employee, Bala.

From the moment I walked in, Bala's warm and friendly demeanor made me feel welcome. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he took the time to patiently answer all my questions and recommend some delicious pizza options.

The pizza itself was a true delight. The crust was perfection, crispy on the edges and wonderfully soft inside. The toppings were fresh and flavorful, creating a taste sensation with every bite.

Bala's attention to detail and genuine passion for providing excellent customer service truly stood out. He went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was enjoyable, and his positive attitude added to the overall pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Bala and the entire team at The Dough Box Pizza Shop for their exceptional service and mouthwatering food. I left with a satisfied stomach and a smile on my face, eager to return for another delightful meal.

I would have loved to try this place. Parking was difficult. Saw that they had a lunch special. It wasn’t clear how that worked. I asked and was half answered. Then after waiting over 7 mins to place and order. The girl behind the counter told me to take a seat? I told her I haven’t even ordered yet. She said it would be a 15 min wait until I could order! She seemed surprised when I told her I have other things to do and walked out. So during lunch hour it seems to take 25 mins just to place an order? Maybe add more staff if your currently staff cannot keep up with the lunch rush. Which was simply just a few people sitting in the dining room. I’ll try again another time with a lower...
