I've been ordering the fresh fruit spring tea from this store for years, but today my drink was so bitter I had to return to the store to get it fixed. I was told that the store allegedly changed the tea base from spring tea to green tea without informing the customers and that's why it was bitter... I'm pretty sure there was something wrong with the tea itself, because I've worked at a bbt store before and we would occasionally have to replace the tea because a batch was extra bitter. Even if this wasn't the case, I'm not sure why I wasn't informed of the new change when I was ordering, and there were no notices in the store to indicate this change either. When I let the staff know about the drink being bitter, the staff first blamed it on my requested sugar level, which is the same level I have always ordered in the past without any issues, and then they blamed it on the alleged tea base change, which no one told me about. I wanted to try out their chocolate drinks since I like chocolate, but they ran out of all there chocolate drink or just the two I wanted which was the triple chocolate latte or the brûlée, they also ran out of pearls or tapioca, but it was somewhat busy so I understand the situation their in it was unfortunate though, but I got a black milk tea with coconut jelly and it tasted as I expected, it’s definitely a safe choice when it comes to this place, I love the atmosphere and service was nice and felt sorry that they didn’t have the stuff I wanted to order first. Read moreI used to love this bubble tea place—it was one of my favorites. But recently, the service has been disappointing. I waited over 10 minutes just to place an order for a drink. The staff member kept telling me “one second,” but that “one second” turned into a long wait.
She mentioned she was the only one working at the time, which I understand must be very stressful. It can’t be easy covering two positions alone. That said, it’s also frustrating as a customer when all you want is a quick drink and go, especially when the service used to be much better.
I don’t blame the employee personally—I know she was doing her best under tough conditions. I just hope the management sees this and considers adding more support during busy hours. I’d really love to see this place return to the quality...
