I don't know what the training is for people checking orders before handing them to customers but they need a refresher... Last night I had to give my order three times at the drivethru. Then again at the first window, only to have my order be the wrong burger completely. 4 times I delivered my order. And they STILL got it wrong. Busy is not an excuse for poor service. If the staff cant handle the nature of the industry they should find another job. This morning, giving this location another chance. Order burrito combi with a side burrito. Easy enough right? Not hard to understand that as someone taking an order. The lady taking the order starts putting in a totally different sandwitch combo. I restate my order, she says sorry, we good. Drive to the window. Staff member tries to charge me for a completely different order. I mention it. They fix it, give me the debit machine with nothing on it for me to pay. Just the welcome screen. I try to get their attention and they are too busy with another customer to worry about the one right infront of their face. I understand this is fast food. But I'm not getting fast, or correct food. Fine, get it fixed, pay, off I go to the next window. Food window, get handed my drink and my bag, off I go. Get to work. 2 burritos.... That's it. So all this bs, repeating my order, again, out of three burritos and a hashbrown, I get 2 burritos. You're welcome for my extra money for the products I didn't get.
Please put my extra funds to extra training for your staff. Back to back days.., they sure look like they need it.
Shame McDonald's Columbia...
Wish I was editing this with something positive. But yet again, congratulations McDonald's Columbia/King Street. You almost got a piece of lettuce on my two Mcchickens.
I would think making this sandwitch would be day one training... Come on guys...
Update: Nothing like giving a place another chance. My bad for doing so. Pop is 3/4 full and this is extra onions on a cheese burger.
GG guys... Good to see this place still hasn't...
Read moreI decided to stop for a Big Mac meal at this location. The food was excellent, but the service was far from poor! I didn't think that it was possible to have service at a fast food restaurant so lousy. The gentleman who took my order was fantastic. Helpful, quick, and polite. I paid in cash, and the till didn't have enough change, so the manager had to bring more float to the till. The store ran out of cash float, so I ended up with a pocket full of change, which the gentleman behind the cash register apologized for. I ordered eat-in, so that I could enjoy my meal and read the news on my tablet. The idiots in the special management shirts filling the order, placed my order in a paper bag, and handed me an empty cup. I went to the pop dispensing machines, and couldn't get them to work. A fantastic lady employee, who was cleaning the front of house, informed me that the pop machines were down. She told me I had to have my cup filled behind the counter. After standing at the counter for a minute and a half, trying to get one of the several employees behind the counter to help me, the lady cleaning the place got the cashier's attention, and he filled my cup, questioning why it was handed out empty. I then proceeded to get my other condiments. While trying to juggle carrying my tablet, food, drink, and condiments to a table, I lost my grip and dropped a ketchup cup. I made a mess on myself, as well as the floor. The lady went and got me a tray, helped me clean up, apologizing profusely for the staff not giving me a tray. I remember when McDonald's first came to Canada. They were one of the first fast food restaurants, that I can think of, to push customer service! To the head office of McDonald's, do you not care about your customers anymore? I would like to thank the only two, older staff members of this location who actually helped me. As for the rest of the management team of of store 4718, shame on your lack of attention to your...
Read moreHere's the deal, I've worked at mcdonalds, so I know the basic company policies, as well as what is up to the individual stores to choose.
Because eather, the owner of this store chooses not to allow common features, or they just never taught their staff how to?,though that's unlikely as employees are required to do 'mcdonalds university'.
This location does not utilize features such as "ask me" (important for allergy safety, aswell as clear kitchen communication) or substitutes as I seen with my most recent trip when the floor manager ( jun 1 around 4pm name starts with a V) i had to watch her insult a man with his young son when he was asking if he could sub everything on the burger for just some mac sause. She said no and started getting kind of aggressive in her tone and expression.
Anyway this is probly my 4th time here and they have not had a single time that they have not messed up my order, which is the same everytime (big mac and extra extra everything that is free)
Here's the ways they have messed it up just for fun.
Gave me the wrong order (big mac combo with nothing on the mac)
Gave me a big mac with extra pickles and lettuce and charged me for mac on the side (?!?! Idk how they got to that point)
And today when I again asked for 2x extra of everything that is free I got chaged for mac cause.
Please note that of these interactions the manager (V) took all the orders except for the one that they just gave me the wrong food (she dident take that oder, she was the one who handed me the wrong food, lol)
my suggestion is to just go to another location (one with a...
