This new place on the block is a MUST try! Travel to the incredible flavourful flavours of India while visiting in the Waterloo-Kitchener area!
We just happen to notice this NEW cafe in town and we decided to try it out. Our cafe pit stop turned into one of the most pleasant international flavourful experience my pallet has ever experienced thus far! There are many incredible specialty & vegetarian dishes to choose from the menu. The flavours are a special experience to be enjoyed! It was beyond simply saying “delicious!” Incredible does not do it Justice! We ordered the Mutton Marag, which is a creamy soup with tender ‘melt in your mouth’ chunks of lamb infused with a warmth that touches your soul! Then we had the Katarnak Kodi Pakoda - Which is deep fried bite sized chicken and was the MOST incredible burst of flavours my mouth has ever enjoyed!! A lil spicy but not unbearably spicy! Next we had the Mutton Dum Biryani with the typical sauces on the side. I stayed close to the white yogurt one that cools it all down lol. The crispy butter bread with the curry ..Omgoodness just incredible flavours!! I don’t remember the name of the curry atm. For dessert I chose Kheer. A sweet creamy mix of rice pudding with almonds and pistachios and infused cardamom flavours. Ahh I could go on and on! Will I be back.. no doubt about it!!
I’m told their Hyderabadi chai is like none other, a flavourful steeped tea with cream and unique blend of spices. Sounds so good, so I’m keen to trying that next...
Read moreThe ambiance was gorgeously decorated, setting a great atmosphere. Now, let's talk about the food: I had ordered Mutton Dum Biriyani, but it was unavailable. I was recommended to try the Riyaz Mutton Biriyani, which was supposed to be spicy according to the recommendation. However, it failed to meet the expectations of a Hyderabadi biryani. The dish consisted of bagara rice and mutton curry layered together, but it didn’t have the authentic flavor or spice expected. We also ordered the Paneer Cashew Biriyani, which was pretty good and turned out to be the best biryani of the night. I tried the Karevepaku Corn, and it was absolutely delicious—crispy and spicy, a real treat. The highlight, however, was the Mutton Marag, which I absolutely loved! Now, for the disappointing part: the "Mutton Dum Biriyani." I was told only one serving was left for the night, so I ordered it, but it was the worst in terms of taste, texture, and flavor. It wasn’t spicy, and the biryani rice had no distinct flavor. It felt like the Riyaz Mutton Biriyani with steamed mutton pieces on top. It wouldn't even be considered a Dum Biriyani by a...

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is a masterclass in how NOT to run a restaurant.
First off – no AC in the middle of summer. It felt like sitting in a sauna, except less pleasant because at least saunas are intentional. Then comes the so-called “service” – or should I say, the complete lack of it. Nobody greeted us properly, nobody checked in, and shockingly, nobody even offered water. When I specifically asked for cold water, I might as well have been speaking to the wall – because I still never got it.
The staff looked like they couldn’t care less if we stayed or left, and judging by their attitude, I think they’d prefer everyone left so they could stand around doing nothing. The food? Absolutely terrible – bland, greasy, and not even worth a fraction of the price. I wouldn’t feed this to someone I disliked, let alone to paying customers. This place isn’t just bad – it’s embarrassing. It’s the kind of “restaurant” that makes you question how it’s still open. If you value your time, money, and stomach, stay...
