Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Waterloo

I am not one to leave reviews and this may be the second review I’ve left in my entire life so I’m definitely not one to complain but this time I had to. It seems like more and more business are cutting corners and being frugal with ingredients and/or toppings. We get it, the economy sucks balls, but you can’t run a successful business when food is inconsistent, especially a franchise. I have never had Poppa Johns pizza and now I know why. This was the absolute worst excuse of a pizza I have ever had. I ordered two mediums with extra cheese that were buy one get one at reg. $20 each (which even at this deal is a crazy small thin pizza for your money). I was lucky to have 1-2 pepperonis per slice, in fact, one slice had one pepperoni and if that was the extra cheese I ordered, then regular cheese would be no cheese. I checked the site to see what their pizzas SHOULD look like as advertised and again, 🤦🏻‍♂️ absolutely embarrassing. Please, please, please, don't waste your money buying pizza from this place! If you're reading these reviews because you're trying to find out the best pizza place in Waterloo to order pizza from, like I was, don't be fooled with the good reviews, like I was. I read these so-called reviews and thought wow, I should buy pizza from here and ordered a 4-topping medium pizza. I was incredibly disappointed and flabbergasted that my 4-topping pizza looked like it had 2 toppings on it, I kid you not. To say it looked like it had two is even being lenient. I opened my box of pizza and half of each pizza slice (from the crust to midway down the pizza) was practically empty, then the remaining half simply had sprinkles of the toppings on them, like are you kidding me?! Are pineapples, mushrooms, beef and bacon going extinct in Canada? The pizza slices were practically empty. Never in my life seen such. We were all confused as to why Papa John's felt it was ok to deliver this pizza. It's too bad it was delivered and I don't have a car, otherwise I would've taken it back, like what the hell?! I'd recommend everyone else reading this to not order from this place lest they cancel your order without your information just so they could have it themselves.

After 2 hours they did not deliver my order. When I called they said my order has been voided from their side without my consent or any information given to me. I was told that they called me twice, however I did not receive any calls. The lady was not ready to hear my complain, from the first second till the last she kept repeating the same thing that I was called and then the order was voided. I asked her if I could speak, she once again repeated the same thing and cut the call.

2 hours of patiently waiting, even when the delivery time given was 45 minutes, and sending the wrong order to me, your team cut cancelled my ordered which was paid for, without my information. Pretty sure they ate the pizza which was paid for and had been waiting for literally 2 hours (I have worked in this industry and know what happens to cancelled order, but never witnessed such a thing before).
