I walked in around 3pm today to order the deal of 3 for $24. There were no other customers. Firstly I was not greeted at all. There were 2 employees hovering near the back who saw me but decided to continue chatting and I had to wait a fair number of minutes before someone came over.
A male employee eventually walked over asked what I wanted upon which I told him 2 for $24 (Veggie, BMT and Roast Chicken). which he acknowledged. Never was I told the promotion was not valid.
During the submaking a female employee joined in and when topping the first sub, I told her I also veggie first. She added the topping and proceeded to the next. I told her the next wil be roast chicken to which she told me 'No, this is veggie - I told you the one I just made is chicken!" I was a little preoccupied so I didn't think twice and figured she put the chicken on the first sub when I wasn't looking. My last 2 subs were made and I paid.
The total came to almost $29.00!! I reviewed the reciept, I enquired saying the employee knew it was 3 for $24. The employees looked at me and said very bluntly and rudly 'The rules changed." And immediately turned away to help the next customer. I was a bit shocked so ended up leaving.
Normally I don't care too much but the fact they charged me for a Roast Chicken Sub ($10) with NO chicken and fooled me by switching the sub order around then not honoring the sale price or telling me it want valid before I placed my order has made me think twice about this location. I am a regular who buys subs around twice a week at this specific location and have noticed lately, the service has gone down.

Read moreI have been a regular customer of this Subway for upwards of four years now, usually getting a sub every other week. Their late hours fit my schedule, and employees have always been friendly and courteous. I've never had cause to complain. However, my experiences over the past two months have been less than ideal. Roughly a month and a half to two months ago, the air conditioner broke. It hasn't been fixed yet. I've stopped by on a number of 30+ degree days, and with the added heat from the toaster and bread baker, the heat in the store is unbearable. The employees continue to remain friendly, however, you can see that they're clearly drained from working in a hot environment all the time. Enthusiasm is down, and you can tell they struggle throughout the day. Additionally, the quality of the food has suffered. A few times now, the bread has been stale, and more often than not, the vegetables are warm. There is nothing more delicious than biting into a delicious sub with fresh ingredients, however, that's not the case at this location. It's sad to see that the owners won't invest in the maintenance that this location needs. My name is Saransh Punj, and I visited your Bridgeport Plaza location at 94 Bridgeport Road East, Waterloo on May 25, 2025, around 10:30 AM. Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience with one of your female staff members.
I had ordered a footlong sub, but without asking me, she cut it into 1/4th pieces. I wanted it cut in half, and when I politely pointed this out, her attitude completely changed. She started preparing the sandwich with visible frustration, banging utensils loudly, which made the whole experience uncomfortable. Even though I stayed polite and said “thank you” at the end, she completely ignored me.
I’ve always appreciated the service and food quality at Subway, but this kind of behaviour was very upsetting. I hope this issue will be looked into and necessary steps will be taken to ensure better customer service going forward.
