Came in around 10am for breakfast on Saturday, and took about 10 minutes to get my order taken. Place was fairly busy, but still a couple of open tables.
Ordered corned beef hash and a meat lovers poutine. Waitress read the order back and we confirmed it.
Food came about 30 minutes later, warm, but not hot. So it had been sitting for a while, and I was given a meat lovers omelet? I pointed out that I had ordered the meat lovers poutine and the Waitress tried to blame ME for her mistake (when she even confirmed my order being the poutine), as she had asked "If I had wanted toast". Quite frankly, I wasn't being the one paid to take my own damn order, but to not cause a scene I just said i'd be fine with the Omelet and would eat it.
My toast came with Strawberry Jam as the only option, and i'm allergic to strawberries. So not a great experience there.
My water was empty before I even got my food, and never got offered a refill. Thankfully my partner had some left over.
Onto the food itself -
As mentioned before, the food was warm... not hot. The cheese in the omelet was already starting to get hard, the potato's looked like Anemic vampires, they were so white and flavourless. The meat in the omelet was okay, but the egg tasted a little off.
Apparently the corned beef was flavourless. But I never had any.
The pepper shaker had hardened condiments and food on it, and was not clean.
The ketchup bottle on the table was near empty, we got a whole 3 wheezes of ketchup out to actually give our meal flavour before it was finished off.
To sum it up:
Food was edible but no flavour Bad/Non-existant service Basic upkeep on cleanliness and condiment topup required Price $37ish after tax

Read moreWe decided to try this breakfast place, sunset grill in Waterloo. The restaurant is in Ira needles boulevard in the same plaza as Sobeys. We were group of 8 people and they were able to accommodate us easily although they were very busy in the morning time. They don't take reservations, so you might have to consider a bit of wait. The servers were very informative and the service is fast and quick. There are great variety of choices in the menu. We ordered omlettes, pancakes, egg benedict, freshly squeezed juices, fresh fruits and coffee. The food portions are filling and tasty. But i thought the prices are little higher. They staff is very courteous and kept checking on us and didn't even had to ask for coffee refills. Towards the end I felt the waitress became very impatient and wanted to remove the plates and she just kept asking if we are done. It was Sunday and our whole bunch of people were there not to just eat and leave but also to enjoy the time. I would suggest few things to the owner to make the menu choices little more flexible. There should be an option to choose fresh fruits if someone doesn't want the home fries and there should be little complimentary something for kids under 5, may be a bowl of fruits. They cannot really finish any portion of kids meal. People will love your place more. We enjoyed our breakfast time at the restaurant. I would definitely suggest people to visit the place...
Read moreIf you’re looking for breakfast this is NOT the place to go. The only good thing about this place is that there is no line to wait to sit as they seem to have lots of tables empty during a Saturday morning. Everything else was bad, I ordered the Sunset Special or something like that and it comes with eggs your choice of meat and pancakes. I always eat my eggs with toast so I ordered a side of toast. My meal came out and so did my girlfriends and I was told my toast would be right out. Both of us were pretty much done eating when my toast hit the table and while we were still eating the waiter also just dropped our cheque on the table and told us “just pay up at the front when you’re done”. The food was good awful for the price. Everything was bland, next to no seasoning on the home fries (also way to under done) they should just be called cubed potato’s. The French toast just had egg wash on them and put in a pan. No sugar no cinnamon nothing. The pancakes were terrible, burnt on bottom and they put them face down so I “wouldn’t notice” but I could barely get a knife through them. We were sat right beside where their wash trays and garbage was to throw out all their food. Was not impressed with having to stare at a food filled garbage and dirty dishes. Long story short, if you have no taste and don’t mind paying 14 dollars a plate for breakfast food then this is the...
