I have deleted my previous bad review from August 2023 and posting this new review today, November 7, 2023. Whoever is working tonight is amazing!! They Bang Bang shrimp bowl I received is exactly what I wanted and the quantity and quality of the bowl is beautiful. The items were placed in with thought and intention, each item delicately layered to give culinary experience with every bite. You may not see the layers in my photos but trust me it is there. I have to say this is the best Barburrito bowl I have had so far. Well done to the staff and to the owner for hearing my cries on how disappointing my previous experiences have been. Now I can't speak to the atmosphere as I was not the one picking up the food but I gave it a 5 star anyway. Overall this food experience exceeds the 5-star rating. I am keeping some photos to show you how my burrito bowl had been disappointing in the past and you can now see, through my new photos, how much has changed. I also want to say to the owner of this establishment, if this great experience I had is because of the star employee that made my bowl I would recommend you get all the staff to put as much care into their work as this employee did, it will only increase your sales because people will go out of their way to come to this location, I know I will. Chose to come here for dinner as I heard good things about their food. Arrived around 7:45pm, and decided on a large burrito. The employees were starting their close, which being in the food industry myself, is totally understandable if it's slow. As they were putting rice on my burrito, I noticed a COIN in the rice. I told the employee that was scooping the rice and he denied my comment. I insisted that I saw it and as he dug in the rice, he did find it. The two employees both agreed it was gross, as did I, and took it out and proceeded to scoop this dirty rice onto my burrito. I told them that's disgusting and suggested that they make new rice. The employees both acted as if my request was ridiculous and seemed annoyed at my request. Knowing they still had over an hour before closing and there were other customers waiting behind me who were aware of this, making new rice should not have been a huge problem. I then told the employees not to bother and left the restaurant.

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the poor service I experienced at your BarBurrito branch located atH3-584 Weber Street North, Waterloo, Ontario, on June 22, 2025, at approximately 4:50 PM.

I had placed an order for two boxes, but during the ordering process, I encountered unprofessional behavior from the staff member preparing the food. She was noticeably rude and uncooperative. When I asked to switch one of the boxes to a bowl, she initially refused, stating the order could not be changed. After some discussion, she eventually agreed to change it, but then charged extra for fries that were part of the original box meal.

Additionally, I did not receive the chips that were supposed to come with the box, and despite the extra charge, the service was dismissive and unhelpful.

This experience was very disappointing and not what I would expect from a reputable food chain like BarBurrito. I kindly request that you look into this matter and take the appropriate steps to ensure better customer service at this location...
