This location has to be the worst in town. Food errors regularly. Often making customers wait at the drive thru to order, sometimes 5+ minutes at a time while the cars line up down the road. Either their speaker is broken at the drive thru or staff have serious listening comprehension issues. Repeat yourself numerous times and still get incorrect food. Staff will audibly scoff at you over the speaker when ordering anything with a modification. This most recent experience had us waiting in the drive thru for over 5 minutes, just to have the guy who came to take our order keep asking the same questions over and over. How many times does one person need to say it's soft tacos and be heard? Gave up in drive thru and tried to order in store, and the same drive thru worker would not let me order for myself, whispering my order to the employee at the register despite me asking several times if I could order for myself. As he couldn't get even the beginning of my order right over the speaker, I did not trust him to order for me. The girl at the register didn't even ask me what I wanted before telling me my total, and what she had punched in was incorrect and missing items I'd never even gotten to say out loud in the drive thru. Once we corrected that and I finished ordering, I noticed two things missing on my receipt. The girl was thankfully able to resolve that before I got the bag, and this was one of the rare occurrences with no food errors. However, they overstuffed the bag and it ripped straight down the side right after getting it into the car. Food was all over the floor of the car. My husband went in to have it fixed. If it weren't for the kind manager and the girl working the taco station fixing the order, and going above and beyond in doing so, I think I'd have written this location off...
Read moreManagers such as Joe should wear appropriate work entire that identify themselves as an employee of the Taco Bell franchise and not tight black T shirts with no way to identify themselves. Additionally, customers should not have a manager attempt tp bully them into purchasing what they do not wish to purchase. Nothing against the food, I've been eating Taco Bell for at least the past 30 years. My issue is completely focused on the person identifying themselves as Joe. If you find yourself in a disagreement with him, make note it took 4 attempts to get him to commit to a "Yes" or "No" answer. He won't answer direct questions but instead will reference "store policy". The issue was simple, the menu has changed and my favorites are all gone. So I ordered new stuff without seeing the price, but when the order came to $37 for two people I asked them to cancel my request and I would come into the store to place a new order. I felt rushed outside and figured going inside where I could take my time from a distance was the best action. So my son and I agreed on a couple of the box meals, and then Joe started to call me out on the drive thru order, attempting to guilt me into buying it and stating it was store policy to prepare the meal within 2 minutes. I've never complained when drive thru has taken more than 2 minutes or when they have missed items in my order. If I was aware at the time of going to Taco Bell there was some sort of running clock when you started to speak with th drive thru operator, then I would have gone directly into the store. Loosen up the muscle shirt Joe and wear some work appropriate attire and don't call out paying customers because your team jump the order and started preparing it before everything was confirmed. I like Taco bell, I just don't care for...
Read moreI went to the Weber St. Waterloo location today October 1 2023 at about 3pm. There weren't many people waiting so I thought it wouldn't take too long. I was very wrong. The man in front of me was ordering a combo and wanted to large size the fries and drink but the cashier didn't even know what that was and said he had to get the manager to ring it in. The manager was busy so it took awhile before he came to ring in the man's order. That took about 10 minutes then I got to place my order. I ordered just a 6 piece nugget combo to go I knew it would take about 5 minutes for my order to be ready so I waited patiently. After 10 minutes of waiting and watching the crew members working on orders that came in after mine I shook my head and said quietly "I'm confused". The manager must have heard or saw me because he then came over and asked what I was waiting for and said it would be only 3 minutes more until the nuggets would be ready. Another 10 minutes pass and it's still not ready. My father who was waiting in the car for me came into the store and asked me what is taking so long. Just as he asked that the Manager finally calls out my order is ready. My father asks the manager "what took so long?" The manager barely apologized and said soming about throwing out the nuggets from the morning shift and having to make new ones, which I can understand it would take a little longer but not 20 minutes to cook new ones. So it took over 30 minutes from the time I walked in the store to actually get my food and there was absolutely no compensation for the ridiculous wait time. Maybe if it was dinner time and it was extremely busy would 30 minutes be acceptable but not at 3pm in the afternoon with only a few customers. I won't be going back to that...
