It's an okay casual place, quieter than upstairs. They close earlier than other parts of the Heuther Hotel. If you want hot water, they need to get it from upstairs.

Prices are average for Uptown Waterloo. The food is okay or good for the price, but complicated orders or exceptions can get messed up by people other than the waitstaff.

Pizza and flatbreads are good, poutine is good for the price (7.25 on the menu). I don't drink beer, but other people enjoy their selection.

Great place for big groups, very accommodating when we show up without a booking. Been there with groups of 6, 10, 15, 20 people, all without booking.

This place has great food, amazing service and reasonable prices. There are several different dining spaces in one building. Coffee House (Cafe 1842), pub style (Barley Works), and casual dining (Lion Brewery) . Each offers diverse and delicious food options. We had spinach salad and thai chicken flatbread, gourmet burger, chicken alfredo pasta and a round of bacon and beer caesar drinks, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal (Lion Brewery) We have also enjoyed their amazing chicken wings, cajun style on a separate visit to Barley Works, Yummy! It's a nice restaurant, Cafe, pool hall, sports bar and rooftop patio. It is all in one and it is doing a good job of keeping it separate. It is also a micro brewery which makes delicious beer, and a great variety of it. The food is good and they have a great variety. Awesome personalized pizza, salads, ribs and schnitzels. The sports bar has one of the best burritos in kW. The coffee depends on who's making it. The speed of the service depends on how busy it is like everywhere else.
