This was my husband’s 2nd time staying at The Laundry Rooms in Waterloo and my first. What a welcome stay it was. 1 bedroom/1bathroom, nice kitchen layout, living and dining area.. AND to our surprise... a balcony. not just a small one but one that wrapped around one and 1/2 sides of the apartment. Great for enjoying the cool weather and taking fabulous sunset photos (and as a bonus, we could see the apartments that our son lives in from our balcony). ||The Kitchen was well used.. breakfasts, some snacks and 2 dinners cooked by us for our son and his girlfriend. Nice fridge to be able to keep the groceries and we learned to use the small dishwasher AND Keurig coffee machine. ||The bed and bedroom where just the right size, closet space plentiful and the bathroom was a good size and being able to do a load of laundry was a plus. ||We enjoyed the pool twice.. and the Laundry Rooms location couldn't have been better for walking to the various trails in the area in the mornings, using the ION Light Rail Transit to visit points along the line (going to Fairway and Conestoga/St. Jacobs) and being able to walk along King Street in Waterloo for dinners and a little needed shopping. (and really close to Vincenzo’s Market.. that was a plus)||Having stayed 3 times at a hotel in Waterloo on previous visits, The Laundry Rooms - Waterloo will definately be were we will book our stay on our next visit...

The Laundry Rooms promised to combine the best out of Airbnbs and Hotels, and as a usual hotels guy, I decided to give The Laundry Rooms a chance as they were considerably cheaper.

What I got in return was worth every dollar! A well-stocked dining area with all the amenities you’d need, washer, dryer, and well-stocked bathroom too, just to name a few. That was when I realized that I’d put my money in the right place. Location and the view can’t be beat too. I also got regular communication from the Laundry Rooms staff, and they were very responsive to my questions.

The uncertainty around parking was there, but my request was accepted well before my arrival. However I feel the garage parking can be improved to cater to solo travelers too. For instance, the key scanner for the garage is on the right, which meant I had to get down from my car and scan my key for the garage door to open. I found this a minor inconvenience, but it’d be nice to not have to get out of my car :) Second thing is that the numbered spots that are allotted to The Laundry Room guests are not clearly marked, and this made it harder to locate what spots are okay to park in. But then I feel these are outside the Laundry Rooms’ control.

All that said, I’ll definitely come back here when I’m in Waterloo. I’m also inclined to try out your other properties...

It was honestly exactly what I was looking for and more. Before our arrival I even received a personal message discussing amenities and parking info, they even sent me a video explaining what street and where to enter and park in the building (since there is no front desk check in everything is done online and your key to enter is scanned on your phone through an app you download). Honestly surprised how large the place was and it was designed in a very unique way while still feeling homey and luxurious at the same time. Fun wallpaper, cute furniture and a nice view out the window. They also had a pool but it was cold and rainy so we didn’t use it outside. They also had a Keurig machine, pots and pans, cutlery , wine glasses, regular glasses, a bottle opener, and baking utensils, cleaning supplies and laundry room with detergent in unit. Overall and very nice place to stay and they have definitely thought of how to make the experience accommodating. Would 100% come back and get another room. Our stay only cost 172$ a night and we stayed for two nights.
