Ordered a pretty large order online for Fathers Day. Came in to see our order on the screen as being “prepared”. After waiting another 20 minutes we tried to flag down a worker to ask about our order (which took a long time as well, as they kept walking past us to help other people). When we finally got their attention, they STARTED preparing our order. When we got home to start eating, there were two pieces of chicken from our bucket that had a long black hair cooked into the batter. We had to dissemble the chicken in order to get the hair out. When contacting the store, the owner explained that it was our fault for waiting so long to ask about our order (even though they had advertised our order was in progress) and that because we didn’t bring the chicken back with the hair that they couldn’t do anything to rectify the situation. When asked if their cooks wore hair nets in the kitchen, the owner went silent and refused to answer the question. No hair nets, no beard nets, no gloves. The owner was extremely argumentative and refused to do anything to rectify the situation, and was adamant that it was our fault we had to wait for so long for our food. Corporate has been contacted as well as the health department to look into these infractions. Extremely disappointed in the customer service provided, especially for such a new business....

Sitting waiting to order and just smelling this was not fun.. then I'll to realize it was an employee, when they got up from the seating area and went into the kitchen..I had already ordered, had I know id not.. then having to wait 8-10 min for a small order and being only one ordering. Cashier was nice and polite though.
Owner reaches out to blame my review on other ppl.. but am unable to respond to them directly... So I'll edit and post here. There were 4 ppl in the dining area 5 including myself. 2 customers and 2 employees. A female eating and the employee with the terrible odor. I know it was the employee that had the odor, because when he left, to go back into the kitchen the odor subsided. Also, I was in close proximity to the other ppl in the dinning area.
Respecting employees is one thing but when MAKING FOOD cleanliness should be top priority.. if that's a problem then shouldn't be making food.
Also when, employees give reasons to why things cost more.. make sure they know measurement sizes, or the real answer.. it's ok to say you don't know why something costs more of you don't know the answer.
After dealing with the owners reply, changed my review to reflect total customer service.
But lost my appetite due to the wretched stench.. Then seeing him prepare...
Read moreFirst off, I will be honest with you, I live in the KW area and ALL of the franchises there are horrible, at least the ones I've visited over the years.. quality of food, cleanliness and staff professionalism.. I haven't paid a visit to KFC in years for the above reasons..better options at Mary Browns and Popeyes at least in KW.
I happened to be in the Niagara area when I noticed a new KFC at least from what I remember pop-up on rice road and thorold road. I am not sure how new this location is but it has been a few years since I have been in the area. I decided to give it a try because I haven't enjoyed KFC for many years. I think the last time I enjoyed KFC, was when I was in Nova, Scotia, 2 or 3 years ago, in Sydney.
