U Need A Pita — Restaurant in Welland

Yesterday I got FOOD POISONING from this place. I have been a regular at this location for some time. Yesterday I got the $6 meal deal (Cajun burger) in the afternoon, ended up laying in my bathroom for 6+ hours puking and diarrhea all night back and forth. I will never eat there ever again. Dealing with the raw meat they use for real burgers can be dangerous if not handled properly and I paid the price.

I figured there would be some sort of response like that. I did contact the Niagara Region and I'm sure there will be an investigation. It was 100% from the burger, and looking back at my food ingestion over the last 72 hours, it is near impossible that it came from the other foods I ate. Employee forgot my fries on a $6 deal order. I politely called to share the matter and no apology was disclosed. I was questioned i wasnt entitled to the fries. He thought i ordered something else. Got offered a free item for next time for the matter. Sent location an email regarding the experience and got a fast reply from owner. Seems like a good guy but claims his employee said sorry to me on the phone. Apology never happened at all. Why should the employee care? He didnt drive 15 minutes per way to get it. Waited over 30 mins when only one other customer was there. My pita was more of a soup then a sandwich. By the time I got home the pits bread was mush from all the hot sauce. And there was almost no chicken. The side poutine was also the same. Way to much gravy. And my girlfriends chicken way dry and over cooked. I uses to come multiple times a week before covid but being the second time during covid, not to mention the lack of masks, gloves and sanitization (cutting board was a disaster) I dont think I'll be back.
