My family and i visited this quaint spot for the first time and we were all beyond satisfied with both the exceptional service and mouth watering food. We ordered chicken Pakora as an appetizer and couldn't get enough. There were 2 dipping sauces that came along side and I enjoyed the tang of the green dip. Each bite was filled with fresh ingredients and left us wanting more. While waiting for our main course ( Shrimp Hakka noodles, chicken and shrimp fried rice and a chicken and shrimp hakka noodle) we enjoyed getting to know the owner Krishna, what a sweet human, extremely welcoming energy. She explained that her husband was the chef and that they also have buffet every Sunday. The service was professional and timely and once the food arrived we were pleased to see that they were generous with their portions. It was the first time in a long time I watched my children enjoy every bite of their meal. We are originally from Toronto and we struggle with finding quality food places to enjoy in the Niagara Region (St. Catharines specifically). If we were not in. rush to attend a movie I we would have stayed longer and enjoyed another tasty item as the food was scrumptious and didn't leave us feeling heavy or over filled.
I highly recommend y0u pop on in if you're looking for tasty quality food where you actually receive a well portioned meals. The price is right and the food is something to write about. My family and I will be back sooner...
Read moreRead before you order :KADAI CHICKEN (OPPS ) ‘CHILLI CHICKEN WITH LAST MINUTE ADDED HALF COOKED MASALA’.
To Business Owner/Chef,
Kindy DONOT accept food order if you or your team don’t have the slightest idea of making Indian food. Yesterday, I ordered full tray CHICKEN KADAI for a guest of 8 people. After having the food and taking a collective opinion from all my guests (indian) about the taste of Kadai Chicken, this is what they all said in uniformity ‘ CHILLY CHICKEN WITH LAST MINUTE ADDED HALF COOKED ASSORTED INDIAN MASALA will ocean of BELL PEPPERS gravy IN HANDFUL OF CHICKEN PIECES BROKEN INTO TINI TINY PIECES trying super hard to cover up the taste of a typical CHILLI CHICKEN
So basically people if you are order any North Indian CHICKEN DISH, this is what you get ‘ CHILLI CHICKEN WHICH IS COOKED IN BATCHES AND ADDED LAST MINUTE MASALA AS PER THE DISH’.
So , for a $60 plus tax this is what you get.
Kindly donot fool around with food when you are completely incapable of doing it. Please stick to your core expertise dish if you have any.
I am not disappointed anymore, just trying to figure out a better word for...
Read moreFirst of time to Himalayan Hakka and we were very impressed with the food and prices were reasonable as well. Certainly a hidden gem in Welland. The wait staff are the family members who opened 1 1/2 years ago. The dining room is spacious albeit simply but cozy. Staff were attentive and helped guide us, well me in particular, with my food selections as menu is extensive. Restaurant is licensed but the wine selection was limited. More on that later. Chili Momo was my favourite but the Spring Rolls were tasty too. And throughly enjoyed my Shrimp Hakka Noodles. Other items selected were the combo platter, garlic naan and butter chicken wrap. Portion sizes were substantial. My only disappointment was no VQA wines offered. Hope they will consider. However that wouldn't stop me...
