After walking up and down the "tourist trappy" restaraunts on the Niagra strip for about an hour and a half, and nearly just settling for TGIfridays after swaring to myself i wouldnt pick a "chain" restaraunt. I pulled my phone up and found this gem, drawing on a bit of inspiration to reach into my heritage with Canada seeming to be such an international place just coming from business in Toronto. Before finishing this story, let me provide a bit of background. I am an adopted korean american, who feels more out of place walking into an authentic "korean" restaraunt then most non-koreans for the fact im not "authentic" or speak the language. I shared with whom i found out to be the owner, that i was not familiar with Korean cuisine. The women and gentlemen running the establishment were incredibly kind with smiles and conversation. They recommended food and explained what was in it and if it was spicy. I ordered and then after a rather hilarious debacle of grabbing the soju mistaking it for korean beer and them trying to explain its actually 40 proof by sharing the womens set of glasses back and forth as if they must have the same perscription to help read the bottle in korean to me. It was explained it was more like sake. Its drank cold, and has more of a lighter sweet flavor. Mix between sake and a light reisling is the best way to explain it. It was very good and will get you writing long food reviews promptly after eating one of the best meals you will ever eat. The food was fairly prompt considering its one man and one women, and it's real "korean". Food comes out with your entree and the typical korean sides like kimchi, korean pickle/cucumbers, bean sprouts, anchovies, and rice. Least to say plenty of food which was so good it made to my facebook wall. I couldnt have been happier with my choice and made this long 1600 mile trip, frankly worth every mile. I wish i lived closer to enjoy authentic korean cuisine and hospitality like this more often.
Highly recomend you skip the Niagra tourist strip and try this incredible Korean restaraunt! Thank you spectacle sharing korean couple, you made this entire week of business duldrum lively and exciting with your...
