Wings Block — Restaurant in Welland

It's my first time eating here. I tried this place because of the high rating and i love calamari. I ordered a calamari and a swiss mushroom burger. -the server drop 4 big pieces of my calamari on the floor while taking orders on the phone. She's walking with a food on one hand and phone on the other. I'm the only customer dining in at the time. Why not finish taking orders on the phone and then serve me my food. Also, they forgot to give me utensils to use. -the calamari in reality is half calamari and half banana peppers that were really salty. The pics on their website shows just calamari no other stuffs mixed in it that's why i want to eat there. The server told me you should've told us you don't want those other stuffs. How would i know that? I don't know that you mix other stuffs with it. It's my first time going there and there's only one option for calamari. -i ate like 8-9 pcs of calamari that was all there is and the other half banana peppers i ate like 3-4pcs it's too salty. Then she gave me $1.95 discount from the $12.99 original calamari price because she dropped the 4 big pieces on the floor. Wow good deal thank you. -then the swiss mushroom burger. The burger part was good but the swiss part, almost no sauce on it and a few mushrooms. And they put chopped lettuce instead of the usual size lettuce so it's messy to eat. I was gonna order pizza for take out after dining but i changed my mind. I'll try this place again maybe when a different server is working or order takeout. I'll give them a chance. I am a huge chicken wing fan and I was super excited to be near a wing joint while I had to stay over in Welland hospital. I ordered a single pound of wings and triple veggies. Wings arrived but they forgot the jerk saice so they had to go back and return with the sauce. By then, wings weren't very warm. I tried a bite of a drumstick and to be honest it was horrible. It was like chewing on rawhide. I don't normally give bad reviews because I like the food! I also very rarely ever not finish most of an order of chicken wings. This was the exception. The wings were horribly dry chewy and black in the middle. I could only eat two. I saved the rest to return to you guys the next day to show you. I was hoping it was just a mistake and was given some bad wings. I was hoping it was just a one time thing as I would be having to come to welland hospital quite often in the future. Unfortunately, the cleaner threw out the box of unbeaten wings I had left on my hospital table. I wasn't able to return tonyour store to show you the following day either because I ended up having to stay later than I expected at the hospital. I only have gotten around to writing this review a few weeks later. The reason for me writing it is because I would like to think that you guys do have great wings and that those were just an error and a one time mishap. I was craving wings again today but wanted to write this first in hopes we could perhaps rectify the situation. I wanted to give the wings a try again in hopes that they would be awesome...

I'm changing my.origninal review as we have since ordered from here again several times. Not once since thus review was written have we had a bad order. In fact I am now addicted to theor Buffalo chicken poutine. Shame.on them.for making something so good.

Ordered tonight via Uber for the first time. We order the kids nugget meal, chicken nachos and double bacon cheese burger. The kids meal was huge! It was enough to feed two 6 year olds even though it was for just one. The burger was enough to fill some that can easily normally two fast food double 1/4 lb burgers and fries. Only issue was toppings that we asked to be omitted where on it and it could of been cooked a few minutes lo get for their liking. Sadly it was the nachos that made me give 3 starts. While the portion was mega size and feed two people. They where over done. Also not enough salsa or sour cream for the portion size. An extra container of each would of been perfect.
