Ok, even with my name, I don't have time or the want to fight with anyone, but I do not like being called a liar.

I have pictures with the employee I was referring to on my 40th birthday there, and that was 2.5 years ago
I have pictures there for my sons 19th birthday, and that was 3 years ago, and the employee I am referring to was there.
My sister-in-law and I had multiple conversations with this employee about catering my brothers birthday, and this was 2 years ago.
I have been with my bf for 4 years, and this was our date night spot, and this employee was there.
The last two years before our trips to Mexico, we would talk to this employee on the best places to go and see.
When I lived with my roommate, her and I would come and eat there, and that was 2017.
I am aware that at some point, ownership changed over.
I hit the wrong button, we have been coming there since 2017. My apologies.
This employee was not and is not my friend. We just enjoyed talking to him and the atmosphere he brought when we would eat there.
This is the exact point I was saying about customer service and atmosphere. The fact that you would talk to anyone let alone a customer in this fashion just because they have an opinion you do not agree with is shocking. You have not responded to any other negative review posted, let alone attack them personally and thier integrity. I cant imagine what would happen if someone complained in person.
Where did Ross (I am probably spelling it wrong) go? If you notice, a lot of their bad reviews started after he was gone around a year ago. We have been coming here since 2014 (I don't think he was there the whole time), but the last 4 years for sure. He used to know us by name. Not just me, but lots of family and friends say the same. I had my 40th birthday party here 2.5 years ago, and he made it amazing. The food is still great but without him the service and atmosphere have gone down. Instead of going twice a week, we maybe go once a month. The last time I was there, it was middle of the week, around 1pm a month ago and the 90s (not the good kind. More J'Lo stuff) was playing so loud we had to talk in loud voices. The family fun atmosphere is gone, and this is the reason myself, family and friends have taken it off our go-to list in Westbank. There are way better places with just as good food and atmosphere in kelowna so that's what we choose. I am giving a 3 star because the food is amazing and that is the only thing that has...
Read moreI am a very easy person to please if you look at literally every single one of my previous reviews you will see that I generally rate places quite well. Hell I've probably given a Tim Hortons 5 stars I've eaten at hundreds of Mexican restaurants during my life and I always have a quite good experience. Infact I would say that Mexican food is my favourite type of food, it's simple, extremely tasty, inexpensive, and the portion sizes are always good Los Jarros Mexican "style" restaurant (can't stoop down low enough to call it a Mexican restaurant) had none of these qualities except that it tasted decent. First off the portion sizes were tiny as in not quite enough to feed an anorexic child, most good Mexican restaurants leave you so full you are sweating profusely, this is what I have come to expect when going to a Mexican restaurant especially if in paying $15 for a burrito which leads me to my next complaint the price. The prices are ridiculous $15-20 for their meals which are only big enough to feed a hamster, the "chips and salsa" consisted of about 5 chips dribbled in tomato paste and cost $3.50 where most real restaurants give you unlimited baskets of chips for FREE. Next was probably the greasiest thing I have ever seen in my life, all of the charges on the bill were considerably more money than what was listed on the menu. Absolutely terrible. I have heard many good things about this place from others and the fact that their sign says "best Mexican food " led me to believe that I had found a great place to eat. However I am now not full of food I am full of disappointment.
If you really want kelowna's best Mexican food please go to Hector's Casa (high quality decent prices medium portions), or Latin Fiesta (good quality food, decent prices), Mucho burrito has way better food. Heck even taco bell and taco time offer less disappointment
0/10 never...
Read moreThe quality of the dishes was respectable, but the portions were small and a service issue left a rather bitter taste in my mouth (metaphorically).
We assumed rice and beans would be included but this restaurant charges extra for them, and doesn’t offer them as an option when ordering.
Not sure how they confused pork with shrimp but they got my order wrong. I confirmed with my dining companion that the server made the error and it was not my mistake.
I ate half the incorrect order and requested they remake half of it.
The correct half of it arrived, they did not take away the incorrect half, and my friend ate a portion of it.
When the bill came they charged me extra for the incorrect half and when I pointed it out, the server had the audacity to argue with me; they did eventually adjust the bill.
I once had a girlfriend who made a fair portion of her income, our income, off tips and as such believe it’s enormously important to tip generously if warranted.
If service is good, I typically leave a 20% to 25% tip. This is the first time in years I can remember not leaving a tip.
I will not be returning to this establishment.
EDIT: I did a deeper dive and perused a few photos of the chimichangas from this restaurant from photos available on Google reviews.
All included pico de gallo and crema. Mine were served with sauces that almost certainly came from the supermarket or some commercially jarred format.
The presentation of the dishes in the photos I looked at were quite polished and professional.
My lunch arrived with no presentation except a banal portion of shredded lettuce, the chimichangas and the store-bought sauce.
Either this place has undergone an ownership change or the diligence of the kitchen staff and priding themselves on their culinary offerings...
