It is a well-known fact that Japan, as a country, and Tokyo, in particular, are places where foodies can enjoy a rich local cuisine that always pleases the senses. In terms of pastries and desserts, it's a given that any area in Tokyo will have a jewel to be enjoyed. The craftsmanship, variety, and quality to be found in the establishments there is awesome. Luckily, in West Vancouver, we have the opportunity to enjoy a similar experience: a French inspired menu and decor, and a Japanese Executive Pâtissière, Makoto San. Makoto Yamaguchi's creations are to be enjoyed without rush. Her Zaku Zaku (crunchy eclair) is a nice variation of the typical cream filled version. The quality of the ingredients is quite evident from the first bite. Pair a Zaku Zaku in either vanilla or chocolate filling with a Kyoto Matcha Latte, and you will be in a good place. Or just take the time and check out their display and let your eyes decide; your other senses will eventually join in the party. Makoto San presides with a pleasant smile, Japanese quality customer service. A great...

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to for Patisserie Le Pont. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! My mom just got back from Paris and has been on the hunt for a raspberry tart that could compare to the ones she had there. After trying multiple spots with no luck, I did some research and came across Patisserie Le Pont.

I ordered a raspberry tart for my mom’s birthday, and it was nothing short of incredible. The attention to detail was amazing, and I loved seeing the vanilla beans in the vanilla cream. Every ingredient was fresh, and the tart tasted exactly like the ones my mom had in Paris!

I also tried the chocolate croissant and hot chocolate, both of which were fantastic! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better!

I will definitely be back! Highly recommend...

This is one of the places where 5 stars are not enough. In every bite perfect sweetness, crunch, flavour, definitely a taste of Europe married with Japanese beautiful art work and respect for customer. Cozy environment. My husband and I tried almost everything in store, there is a taste for all. Updates We have been ordering our bday cakes at Le Pont. Whatever your heart desires, the master patisser can make it for you. I loved how she asks all these questions so that the outcome would be ...just perfect. The taste, the quality of ingredients, the design - flawless and almost magical..I mean chocolate butterflies with golden flakes, a caramel garden. This is what I got!! More on the menu now. If you plan a tea party for ex, you can order the most airy, while rich and fine ingredients bites. Will be...
