I’ve come to this Mr.Sub many a times. But this experience was so rage inducing. We came in and there were two guys giving Veronika (the lovely lady making the subs) a bit of a hard time as they had very elaborate subs. The second coworker Ben came out and walked away. We waited 20 minutes for our subs to even start. Ben stayed in the back the entire time we were there. doing absolutely nothing. This poor woman Veronika was working hard and was super kind. making sure to let us know constantly she’d be right with us. She made our subs and they were great. Her customer service skills were amazing. She deserves all the love and respect. And if i could i’d give her 5 stars for just her alone. We sat in to eat. We were there for about 45 minutes. In this time frame serval other people came in. at one point there was a line of 5 people. And only veronika was making subs. Ben came out made some snarky comment about an uber driver that came in looking for another restaurant, then went and hid in the back doing absolutely nothing again. On the way out i asked to speak with him as his behaviour was so disrespectful to his fellow coworker. She had been working alone making all the sandwiches the whole time. he claimed he was on a 30 minute break for the entire time of our visit. Again we were there for over 45 minutes. Veronika was great and i can’t stress this enough. Ben however was a greasy tool and actively refused to help her. He said ‘she could have asked for help’ The disrespect was unreal. Read moreI have been going to this location for years but I will not go there again. I was in the store today to grab a sub and a customer was not wearing a mask. As there is a mandatory mask bylaw in effect for Edmonton I expected the staff to tell the customer not wearing a mask to get one or leave but they served the person without even mentioning it. I told them I will not deal with a business that feels my safety is not as important as the buck they make from the maskless customer and left without spending my hard earned dollars there. I understand that these businesses need our support but In this case I WILL NOT give a business like Mr sub my dollars as they are not following the recommendations of Albert Health. I will never eat there again. It's to bad because I really do like Mr Sub but they do not deserve my support due to this incident. In fairness the staff were all wearing protective equipment but in this environment I believe they are in the wrong and really don't care about my safety so my dollars went to Burger Baron instead and it was delicious! Today the two lady's went out of there way to ensure the customer ahead of me was set up just right in every way possible even putting her veggies in a little container and the tomatoes seperate from those all to make sure thebsub she plans to eat a day from now can.be fresh and yummy. I was very impressed and when it was my turn the fast friendly service continued. I askd fir the lady's names as I thought they should be recognized as stand outs for the job they did. Working as a team. Thst was very evident .I bieleve the said there names were Taylor and Penny. Any owner or manager should be proud to call them your employees and I hope you let them no there hard work and happy attitude is appreciated.
