A great spot in the 'diner' tradition (open 0900-1400 Mon.-Fri.) We two had breakfast on a Tues. At 10:30. We were the only customers! The diner is in a commercial area and caters to the lunch trade. One of us had the standard sausage, eggs (3), panfries, toast, and coffee. The other had the farmers 3 egg omlette (includes bacon & panfries inside) with toast and coffee. The food and service were great, with large portions. The coffee was good. More people came in as lunchtime approached. We did chat with the owner a bit - who previously cooked at a well-known local German restaurant (now sadly closed). It shows - since schnitzel and goulash are also on the menu! Note: Cash or Debit Cards only; no credit cards. We highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast or lunch. 5 stars all round.

The Lunchbox Diner is located in the industrial area just off 142 Street at 115 Ave. I went to the Lunchbox Diner for breakfast with a couple of friends and all 3 of us were extremely impressed with the food. We went around 10 am and because the diner is in an industrial area, we were the only customers. I assume that it would be filled to capacity at lunch time as the food is very good and not at all skimpy and the service was excellent. We were full and my friend ended up taking home half of her breakfast croissant. We definitely plan to return and might go for lunch this time.

It’s a little hole in the wall diner, with zero pretension! ZERO! But the food was the right blend of creative and classic and the portions are generous. Everything was fresh, flavourful and the staff are friendly it’s a little like going for lunch in 1988 in small town Saskatchewan without the ethical and ecological implications of time travel. I forgot to take a pic of my pork cutlet until I was almost done, but trust me that’s an indication that the food’s delicious!

Great tasting home made food! Great prices! Generous servings! I stumbled across this diner a couple of weeks ago. Was very impressed, and I told my wife about the portions & the price.

The next week, I had to run some supplies to my wife, and she asked me to bring her some soup from this diner. When I picked it up, and went to pay, the owner said not to worry about it, and that the Interac fee would cost more than the soup!

I gladly told him that I have some running around to do, drop off the soup for my wife, and would be back in an hour to buy my lunch, and he can add the price of my wifes soup onto the bill then.

What other establishment would offer free soup to save me a $0.25 bank fee???

VERY nice folks that own/work here!!!

Have made their diner part of my regular lunch routine ever...
