Me, my wife, and our 10 year old daughter ate here tonight for the first time and it won't be our last. The food was excellent, the views on the patio were amazing, portions were large, prices were very reasonable and the local beer was awesome too. I had the burger with hand cut fries and it was the best restaurant burger I've had in ages. Definitely a homemade patty (almost took a star away because it was quite salty, but it was so good I wouldn't complain about it). My wife and daughter had the fish and chips and my daughter who only started liking fish devoured it and ate some of my wife's. Delicious lightly beaded, very fresh, well seasoned haddock and fantastic fries. Staff were friendly and attentive especially given how busy they were. The owner was very welcoming - a genuinely nice person. He showed me to my seat and checked in on me several times even striking up a conversation. He was always on the move tending to this or that. It's nice to see others who have passion for their work and it was pleasure to meet him. The server, Braylee (not sure of spelling), was excellent as well. She was very friendly and made sure I was well served. She even offered some advice on where I should go next on vacation in this area of Canada. The rest of the staff were always helping each other and I even got to hear some of their small talk - it was like a big family was working for the restaurant. My wife and I stopped by the other night for supper. We both ordered two-piece fish and chips. The fish was delicious. It is always great to come home to fish and chips that use haddock - next level. The pieces of fish were perfectly cooked and were a large serving size. I will say that although the meal was great, the coleslaw was rather bland compared to other coleslaw in the area. The service was outstanding - our waitress was super friendly and did everything to make our meal even better. It can be a little over-crowded, and I would suggest making a reservation. They also have an outdoor eating area as it starts to warm up. I can definitely attest to an amazing fish and chips meal. Stop by and try this area...
