Update to your 2nd response:
I see you now changed your response because it came off very poorly didn't it? Even changed your initial response to seem like a proper restauranteur 😂. First it was "I would have shut you down," magically changing to "asked you to kindly leave"... among other things. But that, that had me rolling on the floor.
Again. Let me reiterate. you weren't there. You still claim that you will look into it? Bold claims about my behavior when you haven't looked into it.
FYI was upset and I had a day already and I was just hoping for a relaxed meal with family. Your terrible service, attitude from staff and death stares brought me to a point of frustration so great on an already frustrating day that I had to ask my wife to handle the situation before I was rash. Except the exact words to my wife were "can you please handle this before I tweak". Hardly disrespectful, but she understood what was happening. That's all that mattered. Regardless, what slang I use with my wife in the comfort and the presence of my family are my business not yours. Not to mention this was AFTER I had already been disrespected by more than 1 staff member. But yes, me trying to maintain composure and allowing someone level headed to take care of the situation is also disrespectful I guess.
Me saying you couldn't pay me to come back is not me respecting your wishes. It's saving myself from the misfortune/displeasure of ever entering your establishment again. You literally could not pay me to come back. Understand the difference.
There look picked up the mic just for you... Only to drop it on you again 🫳🎤
Update to the response: what was disrespectful? Me criticizing your food? Our honesty about the poor service and food? At what point were we disrespectful mr owner that wasn't there tonight, whom I asked to speak to? You weren't even there and you dare to speak to a situation you weren't personally a part of? Did you get your facts straight? Are you sure? There's a systematic issue here so man up, fix your service and food.
No one was out of line at our table bud. We didn't even bother complaining about the nachos. Because yeah " we were disrespectful". Right. We did complain about timing issue. But come on you had one job. Forget a single order on the way back to the kitchen when it's not even that busy? 👌
Lets not forget, (like your server forgot about us for 30 minutes) your server was as rude as rude can be when I asked about my son's food and whether it was ready. We specifically placed his order first so that he could eat while the 7 of us were being indecisive; we even asked for it to come out first seperate from the other order, as soon as it was done.
Then she forgot about us (as a group, we sat there for 30 minutes, 20 of which we were ready to order.) and evidently forgot our sons order that we placed 30 minutes prior. when I politely ask her about it she snaps back at me with 5 minutes. I ask again, trying to convey the fact that we asked for it to come out first but I couldn't even finish because I get an attitude filled snarky "5 minutes" for the second time. Then I get death stares from the blonde? Are you serious?
And I'm the one that's disrespectful... Guess what my sons order came out last, after the entire table got their food. Literally last. Let me remind you in case you forgot by now: we ordered his food 30 minutes before we even had another opportunity to order as a group. But I'm disrespectful.
The only thing you could possibly shut down is your sub par service and customer relations, and even then I have my doubts you could handle the logistics involved there.
Yes. Tell ppl to not to come back. That is exactly what the successful places do.
So yeah I see where the failure in your restaurant starts. It's so evident. It's you. You lead by example, and I see the example you set.
That said, you couldn't pay me to come back.

Initial review: Pork was dry. Server couldn't time order well. The blonde kept giving me death stares. Great time. Nachos were terrible. All...

Good Qualities first:
The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable of the items being served understanding and open to suggestions. Our waitress sorry didn't catch your name was confident & positive a great asset.
The Inside was designed with the right amount decor and promoting local events, businesses which is a rewarding experience.
The cleanliness of the restaurant & wash rooms were up to standard.
Overall Quality of Food:
The Cole slaw was bland there was no texture or taste. I understand it is just a small side, but seriously, it needs a bit of a pick me up or throw down.
The beans were smooth they were not overly saucy & they came with a great ratio of actual beans. Definitely recommend
Onion rings were a fair amount served. The batter wasn't greasy & excessive like most places, excellent taste. Definitely recommend
Cheese Bread was interesting it was on buns not bread. It wasn't heavily toasted which in flavor made the garlic butter to cheese ratio even. The taste was not overall salty, however, I did find some bites that the garlic butter was overpowering. Still would definitely recommend.
Caesar Salad The croutons were hard & crunchy, real bread croutons would definitely take this up a notch. The dressing wasn't creamy it was oil based it was great didn't make it soggy at all. Definitely recommend
Pull pork sandwich Was a great amount of pulled pork & sauce was just the right amount a bit tangy for flavor but not bad. The bun was toasted perfectly.
Beef Brisket Sandwich: Please note this is served in cubes, not slabs (as most would refer to)
The sauce quality was originally it was flavorable the sweetness to spice ratio did not leave a bad after taste in your mouth. We highly enjoyed the sauce.
The beef brisket today was served in cubes It was overly concerning as the amount of fat to actual meat was not there, I was quite disappointed in it. The very small portion beef cubes that I did get to try were a bit chewy & tough. (I have photos) However, with this being said I still definitely recommend trying as everyone has a different experience in life. I will definitely try again another day & provide an updated response!
Suggestions: Bathrooms need decor of anything, I was hoping to venture into more even if was the menu! Small plates need to be checked for cleanliness before being placed down.
Make burnt ends with the beef brisket fatty ends that would be enjoyed and flavored.
Cole slaw needs...
Read moreTwo firsts for tonight... Save The Dishes and Big Bone BBQ. Both seemed a bit risky as the only thing I ever have had delivered is Pizza. Then there is Canada and BBQ. Everyone thinks they know how to make BBQ ribs, and Wings are usually run of the mill at best. I worked and lived in the US South fora few years, so I know the good stuff, from the wannabe stuff.
So it's with pleasure to leave this review. The ordering process is wonderfully easy on Save The Dishes, and the menu Big Bone presents is clear and truthful. I ordered the Big Bone combo - 1/2 rack ribs + 1 lb wings, which also came with plentiful fries, a small portion of baked beans and slice of cornbread.
The ribs (smoked style), were perfect, nothing stuck to the bone, the perfect amount of seasoning. Having spent a few years in the Carolinas and Texas, this is a real winner, not like that other place with name form a city in MIssouri. Very tasty, like your fingers good.
I admit I am not a fan of chicken wings in Canada. Usually they are way overcooked and tasteless. These were a bit dry to be truthful, HOWEVER, I did order this dinner at the end of the night (8pm). And that did not take away form the wonderful tangy sauce. I'll order wings here from now on. They had plenty of meat on them, unlike the 'wild' place that I swear buys only wings from emaciated chickens.
The fries here are perfection, arrived hot and crispy...for take out. Best fries I've had in quite a while and they are noteworthy. The packaging had it so quite a few fries got sauce from the Chicken on them. And while this might have otherwise been a 'yuk' moment, all I have to say, is forget the poutine. Next timer I want extra sauce for the fries. YUM!
I was disappointed in the beans. It's a side, but these tasted canned variety. B&M plain. It does not deduct points, but I really think too many BBQ places overlook the beans to their disadvantage.
The surprise here was the Cornbread. It was really good. I make my own cast iron skillet style, and it's always in high demand from friends and family. I'd buy theirs in a pinch. It's that unexpectedly good.
So the long and short of it is, I will make a visit in person (they are practically across the street from me). I recommend the food based on tonight's experience. (Can not speak to the service as this was takeout, but the food arrived when promised, and it was better than expected.) And I do so like good BBQ. This...
