This was a hug disappointment and today was my birthday! I was seated a a table that I called ahead to reserve! The table was dirty and not clean it had hair on it and the booth seats were full of hair and food! I went to ask the server if we could get help no apology not even blaming it on someone else! We asked for water and a Bloody Caesar that came with old wilted soft salary and dirty cups with the water. We were still waiting on two people and the server never came back once to check on us! When the other people arrived we ordered 4 Appetizers when she brought the plates They were all oily and dirty. I had to use not coming to clean the Plate and utensils. The appetizers were so skimpy not even worth the 40 bucks ! I think the biggest disappointment for me was our meals I asked for a stake medium well With loaded mashed potatoes that I had had at the previous chucks in Pickering! She brought me stake and it was bleeding and a baked potato with sour cream all over it and no corn! When I asked her about the potatoes she said that they don’t have them at that location but then why don’t you tell me that when I ordered them I asked for butter I didn’t get that I asked for sour cream on the side and didn’t get that she never once came after placing the dinner to see if we wanted a refill for our drink she then brought me a piece of corn 10 minutes later that was cold the baked potato was cold from the start .My sons dinner which was supposed to be the New York actually physically matched mine what a let down. My other son had the fish and chips They were over cook fried hard with a serving of maybe 10 french fries on the side. The chicken fingers and french fries with the exact same over fried hard with a couple of fries that looked like the kids menu ! This was a place you could see more of the greasy plates then you could see adult portion food! How disappointed I was Because the chucks roadhouse and pickering was fantastic the service fantastic food delicious! How could Two of the same restaurants be so different! We spent 150 dollars on garbage! My birthday ruined no drink refills! And a horrible server ! I did not make a payment or request the manager do you to my children we were there for my birthday and I did not want to embarrass them! They hate for people to feel bad! But I felt bad and let down! How do they make it up to me! I will be writing to their head off tomorrow! Read moreAttention! Attention! So today at 7pm I took my family to Chuck's Road House. This was my first time at the whitby north location, normally we go to the south location on Victoria St. I dont normally leave reviews but the fact that the manager at this location stood there and told me that every chucks location haves the same standards and that my steaks were all cooked to "chucks temperature standard" and that the thermometers were just replaces two weeks ago, so they were perfectly cooked. So here I am I'm going to leave a review not so that ppl don't go there, but in hopes the owners of this chucks bring there standards up, and speak with there manager about the quality of food he is serving because it's not up to the chucks standards.
So here is my review, the fountain pop was great taste perfect not to watery. We ordered steak bites and the garlic bread with cheese. The steak bites were 2.5 out of 5 not horrible but I have had better at chucks south. The bread was the first item to go back as it had no garlic and when I say maybe 5 shreds of cheese I mean that literally. So the waiter asked if we would like to try another appetizer we said sure and got the little platter they had comes with chicken finger, onion rings and chicken wings also asked if we could have fries instead the waiter told us that the manager said he wasn't allowed to switch things out. I said ok just bring it and we won't eat the onion rings. The waiter then comes back and tells us the steak were ready even though he said it was still 15 minutes from Being ready. Now the steaks they were way under cooked. We ordered 10oz top sirloin well done. Plate was filled with blood. porterhouse steak well done. Came medium at best. Another porterhouse wanted medium/well was given to us rare. Well we were sitting there another dinner came up to us and said her food was undercooked as well. After telling the manager this he responded with disbelief and stated that no one has complained to him all day. I have never walked out in the middle of dinner thats how bad this place was. Read moreI don't ever leave reviews, but this girl truly deserves a raw shout out. Absolutely blown away by her service (Lauren) every single time we are here, she is an absolute powerhouse behind that bar. she's attentive, she’s fast - as a bartender myself, drinks are made within seconds of the chit to the point it should be impossible at times and i respect that, and you never have to ask for a refill because she’s already on it. She could have 10 tables, a full bar all while making drinks for the whole restaurant and you'd never even know how busy she truly was because she is honestly so on the ball. Regardless of how busy it gets we still see her making time to help her coworkers, they constantly come to her even when management is there. Hell, she asks them if they're all okay several times when they come to the bar, even when she’s slammed. She actually cares, and THAT in itself is rare. It’s honestly mesmerizing to watch her work (we've tried to steal her a couple times for our restaurant, not going to lie). She moves with such calm confidence that it almost feels choreographed. She's funny and witty, super quick with her comebacks, jokes, conversation in general. So so personable, talking to her is super easy, she makes EVERYONE laugh constantly.
What really sets her apart is how effortlessly she manages the entire atmosphere. keeping every table happy, and still somehow runs the show like it’s second nature. You can tell that place runs smoother when she’s there. We leave if she isn't there because it tends to be pretty painful to watch lol. She doesn’t just serve drinks she runs that entire restaurant and i hope she is made aware of that.
