Ordered via phone and on collecting gave my request "picking up for ** (those * digits being the last of my phone number not an alphanumeric number) and the person at the checkout kept talking about my "bag". I assumed he was joking for a bit, until I realized that he was being serious and when I asked about my "pick up" order; we were able to understand each other and I got my food. I'm guessing he assumed that I was an uber eats delivery driver?? This type of interaction has never happened to me before when picking up personal orders (I don't hold my phone up, and I know my name, phone number , and specific order item(s). I recommend they establish a better way to vet delivery drivers vs personal pick up. I prefer to purchase directly from restaurants because these delivery apps are killing the industry, but I would prefer not to have to deal with these misunderstandings.
