Pizza Pizza — Restaurant in Whitby

I have visited this restaurant twice, and both times I experienced issues with the staff member taking orders. The first time, when I was ordering pizza, I wanted to choose my own toppings. However, instead of taking my choices, the staff member kept suggesting his own toppings, which was frustrating since I am the one eating the pizza and should be able to select what I prefer. He also seemed upset when I insisted on my own choices. The second time, I ordered a pizza again. After placing the order, the staff member came back later and told me that one of the toppings I had selected was unavailable. I requested that instead of replacing the topping with something else, he could provide a dipping sauce, and I was willing to pay the difference. However, he refused, saying it was only 35 cents and he couldn’t do that, nor could he refund me for the topping. He insisted that I must choose another topping. My concern is that this information (about the unavailable topping) should have been communicated when I placed the order, not afterward. On top of that, his tone was unprofessional and he seemed irritated, which made the experience unpleasant. I just moved down the street from this Pizza Pizza location and I am SO happy I decided to order from them!! I have ordered from so many restaurants trying to find a decent plant based Pizza that even slightly resembles the flavor and texture of a regular dairy and pepperoni Pizza that I used to enjoy 8 years ago before changing my lifestyle...even restaurants that are 100% vegan can't top the Plant Based Pepperoni I ordered from this location!! It was SO GOOD!! I completely understand that cooking and baking with plant based ingredients like the dairy free cheese and pepperoni etc can be a bit tricky as they do not cook or melt the same as regular, and so many takeout plant based Pizzas I have tried were just awful BUT this Pizza Pizza Location has figured it out!! It was so good I just picked up another one for lunch today! Ontop of the pizza being very tasty and fresh, it was prepared fast and the staff are wonderful and very friendly. I highly recommend...

Terrible experience, I usually buy the garlic dip from here but I won't ever again. I went today and bought 4 garlic sauces, when I got home i opened one and it was expired, I opened a second one and that one was also expired. I drove back to the store and showed them the expired sauces and asked kindly to replace them with new ones. The cashier gave me 2 new ones and just to double check I opened them and they were no good as well. He opened 2 more and it seems as though they didn't store their dips properly so they are all bad. I asked for a refund since they are all bad and not fresh, I was refused, I asked for maybe a couple drinks as a replacement, but was refused that as well. I spent $4.25 and left empty handed. Terrible...
