I’m gonna be very honest here. WATCH OUT FOR THE SERVER FRANK. I usually never leave reviews unless someone give great service and deserves a great review or unless I leave with a terrible experience. Yesterday night my family and I went to the Boston pizza in stouffville. As soon as I walked in i remember the waiter that served my family and I just a few years back. I right away told my family that we need to make sure and double check the bills because the waiter that is serving us had scammed my father and uncle previously. He overcharged my uncle and charged my dad both the bills when we were splitting it. But we sat down and we ordered our food. As we were waiting extra long for our food, the manager was extremely understanding and offered us a 15% discount for the over cooked food and the long wait. The waiter brought the food and forgot to serve my side and I had to ask the manager. He forgot our cutlery too, so again we had to ask the manager. We didn’t even have water at our table until asked. When I went to pay, I asked to pay specifically for what I was ordering and I mentioned to him that the manger said we get the discount. He said “no no I can’t”, because we used coupon, so we don’t get any discount on the rest of the food. I had to wait for the manager to talk to him about it and then he said that I still would get the 15% off as promised and when the manger refunded the money back to me in cash Frank stared at the $5 bill as if he lost something from his paycheque or something. He kept passing glances at me while talking bad to the manger about my family. He even made a comment about our Pakistani friends saying that he was “a bad guy” and because the rest of us were Indian and Sri Lankan. This was truly the most disgusting experience I’ve ever had. I can’t believe that I had such bad experiences not once but twice and that we remember the server from his terrible service and dishonesty. He might be a person of colour but truly he is racist to his own kind. He happily served people of no colour that came after us and we waited for extended periods of time. TRULY HATE FRANK AND HIS SERVICE. God sees evil deeds done and karma is there. I’m here to warn others from being scammed like us. I will take this to higher authority as this hasn’t happened one or two times. Plus if you read other have also had some opinions of Frank and I don’t know why he...
Read moreAbysmal and inexcusable service. Never saw our server once in 40 minutes. Dirty restaurant, below minimal effort.
Horrid experience. Took us a long time to even be greeted by a hostess. We were then told there were no booths available despite there not being many people. We were okay with it until we realized the reason that the booths were unavailable were because none of them had been bussed or cleared. Every single table around us was full of dirty glassware and dishware and the dining room was near empty.
Menus were kind of sticky and it was clear from watching the host team pick up menus from dirty tables that they are not cleaned before given to guests. Two of us waited for almost 30 minutes with not so much as a table-touch from our server. No water, no drinks. I never even saw their face. We then asked the host to kindly fetch our server which she said she would do promptly. No one came for another five minutes so we left.
In the time we were there, we never saw a server or a manager. Bless the host team for trying, they were getting things for the few tables that were there, clearing some tables (though at an agonizing pace).
As someone who works in the industry, I'm empathetic to staffing shortages, but the level of service that was given was beyond excusable. Even if they were busy, which they were not, it takes nothing for a server to just come say hi and tell us they'll be a few minutes or have a supporting FOH manager do so.
We walked out of there 40 minutes after walking through the door and only saw the face of one person working there (who was the host that led us to the table). I've already submitted feedback online to pre-empt the clearly copy-paste response they will submit to this and have done for every other review. I don't want anything from this restaurant, I don't even want them to respond to this review, I just want them to get their act together as professionals in the...

—Past review 2023– During a recent visited this restaurant with my family, we requested a table for three: two children and one adult. Initially, I ordered juice for one child, water for the other, and a regular water for myself. As the meal progressed, I requested milk for a child who didn't want their water. The server frequently checked on us throughout the meal, which I found to be considerate. However, I couldn't help but notice a shift in the server's demeanor as time went on; they seemed to become increasingly irritated, possibly due to the extended duration of our stay. It is important to recognize that meals with children can often take longer than anticipated.
Surprisingly, we received our bill before having the opportunity to order dessert, a request I had not yet made. I needed two additional meals to go but decided against ordering them due to feeling rushed. I had a voucher for a free kid's meal, which I requested to be applied, given the circumstances and the apparent hurry to have us leave. On the updated receipt, I was correctly charged for an adult meal and one kids' meal, with the voucher applied for the other. However, I was puzzled to see a charge for the milk. I had assumed that water, being complimentary, would not be included as the beverage option with the kids' meal, and therefore, was surprised by the additional charge.
Understanding the challenges that come with being a server, I opted to leave a 20% tip. Despite this, the experience has led me to decide against returning to this particular Boston Pizza location for our future weekly family meals.
