My family has been regular customers since Plate & Bowls first opened. However, we have noticed a stark decline in the quality of food. I walked into an empty store, which Im not surprised after hearing that the specials only last till 3pm (the daily special, should be all day to bring in more business). Recent policies of no longer offering white basmati rice even tho basmati is the traditional rice for many indian dishes. Basmati is a MUST, cutting corners means losing customers and the yellow rice is stale tasting in comparison. Also, I noticed a decrease in the amount of chicken they give you. Overall, bad policies, practises and cutting corners are noticeable and will lose customers. I encourage this business to work on quality, store cleanness, better meat portions, bringing back basmati white rice, and making the daily special an all day event. Very disappointing to call it indian food, without basmati white rice. Now my family wonât eat the Achari bowl I bought because of the yellow rice. I wasnât even informed by the employee. Changes made to cut costs, without...
Read moreThis was my first time trying this place, and unfortunately, it didnât leave a great impression. I wasnât planning to write a bad review or even mention my concern publicly, but the way the lady manager responded really pushed me to share my experience.
I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl/plate. The veggie portion was good, but the meat portion felt quite discounted especially for $18. Iâve been to other similar places where the value felt more balanced.
When I politely brought up my concern, the manager responded very rudely. I even asked to speak to the owner, and she curtly replied, âIâll let them know,â which came off as dismissive. It left a sour taste that overshadowed the food, which was actually quite good.
I hope the owner sees this, because I believe the place has potential but frontline customer service really needs attention. I understand how tough it is to run a business and that employees might be doing their best, but something may be getting lost in translation. I wonât be returning based on...
Read moreThe worst place I ever seen, extremely miserable and mismanaged, quality of food extremely low. Not sure what they want to sell, what they want to offer to people what is their business model. Starting my experience of food: I ordered ONE tray of chicken biryani and couple of more dishes on phone, when I went to pickup biryani at Stoughvill location, the person on counter said the biryani is ready but they don't have biryani tray so they packed biryani in shallow aluminum foil tray and they don't have cover the food so they packed biryani with kitchen wrap. It was so embarrassing to take the food like that. Now, when I brought biryani at home and remove the wrap I immediately found that just mix the meat in boiled rice. Extremely horrible taste and unbelievable meat quality and quantity. The other curry dishes was ridiculously low quality with high prices. This restaurant must be ranked -10 star. For me, I will never ever pass nearby that area. If you want to kill your taste and throw your money, you...
